Raphael's Speech
 Recently Raphael is able to link 2 words together to make some sense to Mummy & Daddy. When he wants to watch Wheels on the bus, he will point to the TV and tell mummy "Watch Bus" When he wants to leave the place, he will tell Mummy "Mummy Walk" or "Mummy go" Recently Mummy also tested him, he is able to identify from 1-12!!! hahhaaa... he will pronounce them! Great thanks to Brainy Baby! wohooo Funny part is that Raphael can pronounce "twelve" (12) but pronounce "one one" (11) and not eleven haha Xmas party at My house -2 days after Xmas Day
As usual, we had our xmas party for the babies in my place. This time round we had it 2 days after xmas. Daddy made the Cheesecake and Spagetti for the party which were full of praises!   As for Mummy...Banana Choc Muffin for our friends!  Look at the spread of food, YUMMY! Raphael was so happy that he kept running around the house and play with Yvette's toys..Then came the toy snatching incident where they both wanted a toy and just when Yvette almost won, Raphael let out a cry and Yvette was taken aback saying "Ah Phael cry, Ah phael cry!"..Raphael again uses his tactic to win the "WAR" haha..   Yeah, I am so happy today! I had my last pump on the 16th Dec 2009 Wednesday and today is the 5th day of non pumping day! I am successful in stopping it!! It was a long long wait. I had been religiously pumping for Raphael for 19months, 19 day! hahahaa... Though it wasnt easy to switch him to FM quickly, all thanks to the Tokyo Trip whereby I heck care all and give him full feeds and he switch to FM!!! Then I started to reduce my pump to 1 pump per day and suddenly I tried 2 days and now NO MORE!!! Of cause I can feel some milk loitering there but I am enduring! Shara told me soon, it will be OVER! Really very happy about this though now every night I do feel something missing, and I keep looking at my beloved pump. It is now sitting inside the fridge, waiting to be officially declared as "DISCARD-ed" item... Well, I must say Breastfeeding a child is never easy. To substain the milking process for 19.5 months is NOT EASY AT ALL. Somemore I had to pump in office toilet, to store the milk in the mini fridge, then sometimes too much milk I got to pour away some to fit into the Lansinoh Milk Bag... Then to transport home. It is just not easy. I still remember in the beginning where I really dread going for movies or shopping as I got to pump every 2hourly, 3hourly... To later stage, I pump 6, 8hourly, everything was a breeze. Though I managed to maintain the milk supply, I am T-I-R-E-D. I simply need a break. Most importantly, I am still waking up to feed Raphael eveyr 3hourly during the night (sometimes I does overslpt and he drink 4hourly *Hiat Hiat*) 4D Numbers
 For Daddy, we will be gunning for 9325 and all proceeds (if really strike haha) will go towards Raphael's EduFund. Progress in speech - 20-Dec-2009
 Tonight as usual we went over to Grandma Phay house for dinner and Mummy is again shocked by my speech.. I am able to pick up and know when to use the below phases! 1. Big Cars 2. Bye Bye (with a flying kiss)3. See you 4. Oh no (When he fell down)5. Oh Shit (When he fell down) 6. Taxi7. Goor Goor (means Gu Gu, Auntie) 8. AIYO! (When he fell and hit his head)9. AIYA! Look at how much I enjoyed the class with teacher Shauna! I loved her class, though I do not participate much but I do give out laughter when I am amused by teacher's action! Something I am engrossed in today!  Playing with the Hoola-Hoop  My usual Routine in class, Walk and Run for at least 20 rounds till I sweat and pant!  A short note to this walking and running, Mummy feels that Raphael is not participating much in class and she will drop the class once the terms end in Feb. Its not a bad class but a pity Raphael doesnt participate much though he enjoys the parachute time, bubbles time and some sections of the class. Well, already paid for the class, just sit back, relax and we shall move on to Julia Gabriel in March! Xmas Party 2009 - May Babies Gathering
As it is a non aircon place, Mummy decided to let Raphael dress lightly and coolingly. This is Raphael ARMY outfit, handsome bo?  The story of the whole party shall start with my princess Shaine...  Can you tell me who can resist her beautiful smile and lovely locks? Simply irresistable... But sorry to tell the rest of my buddies, She is taken.. By ME! hahaa  Brothers in arm, My B-R-O-T-H-E-R! Guess who is more "elderly", Rayden or me?  One of my BEST friend, Damien!  This is Dylan, long time no see. Become so HANDSOME!  Aldan Kor Kor... So tall now, heard he is 90cm!  Keon...Still got that kissable lips....  Princess Rachel, love her cheeks!  Fun to be with my friends!  Matthias, my "twins"... Born on the same day, wearing a Garfield outfit...so cute  Jorel, gift exchange with Raphael  Megan Grandma...Sorry Megan, Daddy so busy taking pictures of Shaine that he forgot to take my buddies!!   This is Lucas with Aunty Jovial, Mummy is of same age with her leh... hmmm.. Mummy...Why does she looks Younger?  Most photogenic lady, Eudora  Morgan, best dressed award  One little background on this toy, Mummy nearly bought this the nite before at ILLUMA(Raphael was riding on it and jumping happily... You guys should know, she is a SPENDTHRIFT... cannot cure type), price was $29.90 and luckily she didnt. Else she will be banging wall right now as Aunty Jo got a GREAT deal, bought at $6!!! phew, thanks to them, Raphael got this toy he likes!  Look at Mummy's face when she heard the toy is $6!!  Raphael "protecting" his property (Daddy) when he sees so many little ones crowding around when Daddy is blowing bubbles..He is fiercely protective haha  Mummy's Off Day - 18-DEC-2009
In the morning she went to One Fullerton's Coffee Bean for breakfast with Daddy, followed by her usual Gym and then She went to Vivo (Mango and G2000 Sales....) Luckily she didnt forget little Raphael. Together with Grandma, she brought Raphael out to BM NTUC. Partly due to Grandma saying go too far, Raphael will missed his afternoon nap and also Grandma is LAZY! Picture taken at the BUS STOP! Yes, we are travelling by bus  Raphael is so excited to sit on bus that he keep saying BUS! Look at him holding tightly to the umbrella (Grandma says it will rain.....)  See him standing still on the travelator and holding on to the shopping basket... One word... Kawaiii  This Raphael is so funny, while Mummy is looking at which shampoo to buy, he went and get this OXY Cover and threw it into the shopping basket!! Why do you need it?  Then he went to get this Tigger! The way he hugs it, make the 2 "rich" ladies nearly say the word... "BUY"...as mentioned, NEARLY.... But now while typing, Mummy is regretting for not..  Grandma says, choose any car you like... Raphael fell in love with this car and somehow...No matter how we dissuade him, he still prefer it...  Close up of the CAR! oh dear, CAR again! Passions for C-A-R-S CARS!
The scariest thing is that Grandma Teo and Mummy keep buying lots and lots of cars. Ranging from $1 to $50, there is no limit to the budget of these 2 loving woman. No money can gauge their love to fulfil Raphael's passion. Look at this Mega Block Car.... We can only says that Mummy is so generous, to buy this.... Retailing at 49.90....  But look at the excitement of Raphael when he received this...See, no amount of money can buy the happiness and excitement our Darling is experiencing!  Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Raphael unwell...
 From last week till today, Raphael is down with cough and phelgm... Then on Sat and Sun night, he was running a slight fever. Due to the phelgm which is causing discomfort in him, when he lies down to slp, he will tend to cough and vomit out the phelgm... So messy and tiring for Mummy and Daddy! As Dr Tan's Clinic is not opened on Sunday, Mummy & Daddy delayed seeking treatment till Monday night. The Queue was so long but Mummy felt its worth the wait... Which GP will be able to diagnosed and check in split seconds despite the commontion Raphael had caused.. His screaming, his cries and kicking and pulling of the barang Dr Tan had. I doubt other GP are fast enough to handle. Anyway, we waited from 745pm till 1210am before finally able to see our “idol" Her sharp observation and quick diagnose really impressed Mummy. Raphael is getting better after eating her prescribed medicine... YEAH! Monday, December 14, 2009

Granny Teo turns 49! That's young for a Grandmother haha..We reserved a table in UOB Plaza Szechuan Restaurant to feast for the celebration. Raphael had all the waitress smitten haha..his BIG eyes working its magic once again.. We had a filling dinner of all our fav dishes, again and again as its a ala-carte buffet..The szechuan chilli chicken had us all gulping water by the mouthfuls..its HOT.. At end of dinner, Auntie Layhoon brought out the nice little cakes which we initially thought we wont be able to finish due to the filling dinner..but alas, we still managed to finish all of it.. The waitress was still teasing us if we still need the cake box to pack home haha.. The next day was Granny's actual birthday, 13th Dec. He is so amazed by that tortoise despite the unpleasant smell it had! Then he also tell Grandpa.. "Pok Pok Pok...Ah gong"... *He is telling Grandpa to bring him downstairs to see motorcycles* This goes on and on for the rest of the night.. Oh ya, when we reached SIM and had fetched Daddy... Raphael started to vomit... "ARRRRH".... must be the rocky car ride from Mummy *Oppps*... Family Day at Daddy's Office
Mummy seems more excited about all these stations than Raphael..Our darling is only interested in Balloons and Chocolates.. Daddy? he is interested in only the food and wines haha..The party area is spacious and cooling..so fun to see Raphael running around and interacting with other kids and seducing adults..Best is Raphael call Daddy's HR Director "Kor Kor" and he was so happy hahaha.. Raphael even went to hug him and Sayang him..for his efforts, Raphael got a Merci chocolate which he is happily munching away in the picture below  Kids Present galore..Raphael got a toy car.. Raphael the Santa Claus
This is the start of Dec and Xmas is nearing the corner..Mummy got this nice little Santa Costume for Raphael and we wear it for his Sun kindermusik class. The original suit is abit large for Raphael, the sleeves and pants are covering all of Raphael's hands and legs..and guess what, Daddy actually modified the costume to make it shorter and we can see Raphael's hand..look nicer and cuter :)  Santa is SHOCKED..what did he see? Granny Phay Birthday Day Out
Its 4th Dec and the eve of Granny Phay's birthday..So Daddy took leave to bring Granny out as usual..Lunch of her choice..walked ard looking for western restaurant as Granny said she wish to eat set lunch haha..alas, walked past the Peranakan restautant and Granny was attracted to it..so ended up eating baba food..nice curry assam fishhead..yummy..no pics of the food as we are too hungry to wait for Daddy to take out his camera haha After that, we window shopped until the Mickey mouse show before Mummy treated us to a Ben and Jerry ice cream bonanza..the ice cream is so scrumptious with the brownies and cookies..double yummy..  Same expression..ARGHhh...mouth BIG BIG  Mouth Still BIG BIG.. Raphael has always held Mickey Mouse in a special place in his heart..Whenever we reaches home, he will go into his room and hug Mickey Mouse and lie on the floor..So going to see the Mickey Mouse show in Vivo has become a must for us..At the show, we can see how Raphael enjoys himself from the video..he was dancing and clapping along with the music..We can also see him clearly identifying the dog and duck in the show (Donald Duck and Goffy Dog) VIDEO UPLOADING.................... Raphael is 19Months old
Time seems to flies fast especially when it comes to having Raphael around. Now he is a 19months toddler, full of cheeky ideas and patterns! He is now capable of linking objects with words, and identifying them irregardless of the different forms they comes in. Also his imitation now is damn powerful, you can teach him all sorts of stuffs and he actually try to mimic you! Just today, he told Mummy "Ah Gong, Pok Pok Pok Pok"...Mummy was puzzled until Grandma told her, "Oh, your Dad set off riding his motorcycle this morning and Raphael goes on saying Pok Pok Pok as the motor sound" Wow Wow! Thats very fantastic! Also, on the same day, Raphael says "I NO"... Meaning he do not wish to do something or eat something. Somehow, Mummy feel so happy. My boy may not be a genius, a super baby, but to me now, he is performing well and beyond my expectation. Physical development I do believe he is above average for height and weight. So will keep feeding him with porridge and milk. Sad to say, he is still with 16 teeths, the last 4 are nowhere in sight. Back to the celebration of his 19th Month birthday, we had 2 special guest, Godpa and Godma! They specially came over at 1130pm to celebrate, special thanks for the effort! This month, is special because Mummy wanted to try the Swissbake Cakes and its cheap! It costs Mummy $15 for a round cake! (instead of buying from Cedele Depot per slice is 7.50!!) Interesting observation of Raphael
Raphael has been responding well to "bribes" lately..Milo, biscuits, yakult are all good bribery items when we want to catch his attention or make him behave.. As mummy mentioned before, he will correctly point out his body parts when you ask him to, with a packet of milo in your hand. However, he has since progressed and can even pre-empt our actions haha.. Last night, Mummy had a packet of milo, sitting in the playroom..as expected Raphael "spotted" his target and promptly went over to mummy's side and sit down..then suddenly Raphael goes..."head..head..head..", "eyes...eyes...eyes..." He is sooooo initiative hahaha...he knew that he needs to "perform" to get his Milo..and he did it without Mummy asking.. He can also "plead" with us by saying "pleeeeasseeeee" when he wants something desperately..Daddy overheard him telling mummy "please" when he wanted to press the lift button last night at Tiong Bahru Plaza.. Some more interesting things to add on, last night Mummy layed out nicely 3 sets of PJs... Asking Raphael which one he would like to changed into, Monkey design, Tortoise design or the pinky one...(Recently Raphael hates it when pple change him without his consent... and he will cry n cry to protest, so Mummy thought of this method) Raphael pointed and took the tortoise design and give to Mummy..So Mummy helped him changed and surprisingly..he didnt struggle at all and in fact after changing he still look down at the colorful tortoise.. hmmm...isnt it interesting? Raphael Calls "Jie Jie"
Raphael had been very vocal and recently... He can try to pronounce whatever you want him to, provided you bribe him or if his mood is good. Daddy ask him where is his nose, eyes, head, mouth, tongue, feet, hands, fingers, toes, ear etc, he can point to them correctly.Best part is he can even try to pronounce the word and not to mentioned, is accurately identifying each of these. Putting aside body parts, he can also pronouce daily items like Chairs, Table, Bus, Car, Ball, Socks, Shoes, Duck, Dog, Cat, Tree, Grass, Water, Milo, Yakult, Bubbles, Bear, Walk, Run, Fish,Fan, TV, Clock, Light, Orange, Apple... the lists goes on and on....and not forgeting the 26 Alphabets and 1-9 numbers!!! Wohooo! Also, he is not blindly remembering such items as he can also identify variation of these objects, such as a green apple is an apple, a Red one also is an apple!The clock at our home is a clock, the clocks he sees outsides are also clocks!! Mummy and Daddy are so proud...shows that our on and off efforts of flashing him cards, acting silly, singing the body parts song paid off..Of cause most efforts are also contributed by Grandpa and Grandma Teo who had been religiously teaching him daily. Raphael first call to Jie Jie was actually calling Aunty Doris at Kindermusic yesterday. Raphael called Aunty Doris "Aunty" and she joking ask Raphael to call her "Jie Jie"..Then Raphael start to call her Jie Jie. Sunday, November 29, 2009
Outing to ECP Cycling and PolliWog
This outing has been in the planning for ages, until the Haji hols last fri when Daddy managed to get EVERYONE to agree to wakeup earlier on a hols to go ECP for some fun.. Today we have a big turnout, Godpa, Godma, Yvette jieji, Tua Pek, Tua Um, Uncle Adrian, Aunt Serene, Baby Matthias, Ah Gu, Ah Yee and Grandma Teo. Gathering time at ECP BK at 10am..we were expecting a leisure breakfast followed by a stroll along the beach before Polliwoq and cycling..However, the 1st sign of "trouble" was the carparks are all full at 10am..followed by super loong queues at BK.. Think Daddy is "mountain tortoise" already..still thought 10am is early..the park is already flooded by then.. No more leisurely, the battle to queue for food begins and also entry to Polliwoq before it gets real crowded.. Raphael has a fun day with running around on grass, polliwog and lastly cycling.. The sun was blazing and the wind was breezy on the bike..Raphael was like so lazy and enjoying, at one time Daddy tot Raphael fall asleep in the child seat haha..but he was only relaxing and not moving, enjoying the breeze on his face..  ECP at 10am on Haji Hols  Raphael all ready to go cycling  Give me a FIVE!!  Baby Matthias joining us at POlliwog  Yvette jie jie 1st visit to Polliwog, soo HAPPY! 18Months old Booster Jab, 11.8kg
This jab had been delayed since beginning of the month till today. The first cancellation was due to Dr Allyson Tan going to Tokyo till mid Nov... So we scheduled a date with her after our Tokyo trip. Then on 21st Nov, Daddy realised that he got to work from morning till late afternoon followed by his school...So again we postponed... Then on 23rd Nov, we rushed down to the night clinic thinking that Our Dear Dr Tan be around... Hai... Sad to say she rushed to hospital for an emergency and night clinic is closed for the day. So today, 25th Nov, Wednesday, Mummy called to ensure that the night clinic be OPENED and they will not rushed down in vain. The nurse who answered Mummy's call could actually recognised her voice!! OMG! When we registered ourselves at 750pm, we were told to go home, bathe ourselves and wait... So we went to Grandma Phay's Home and eat dinner happily while Raphael played happily with "Bek Bek", "Ah Mmmmg"... Oh ya, today Raphael learnt how to called Brandon Bek Bek... hehee...though at first sounds like Baby...As he called many times the Bek Bek seems clearer. Then Uncle Brandon tried to test Raphael's Patience by blocking his toys and there was an instance Raphael got so fed up that he exclaimed "HAIII YA!!! Bek Bek"... then he swing his hands backwards. This make the pple in the room laughed! Okok..Back to the Booster Jab.. When we reached the clinic at 1015pm, (Yes, Our Dr Tan is always so busy, her appt can always last up to 11pm if not close to 12 midnite... ) Raphael started to get upset with the weighing and height measurement.. We were able to get his weight though... is 11.8kg! WOW! Height undetermined as he kept crying and was so cranky. NVM, Let his height remains at 84cm..is ok...forget about measurement So when it is our turn to go inside to see our Ah Tan, Raphael started to scream and shout as he saw the jab/needle on her table... It was a disaster... You can never imagine how loud and scary he scream!! Those patients outside got a shock of their life!!! Anyway, Dr Tan commented that Raphael's Speech is progressing so fast, better than her expectation as when he was 15months old, he couldn't talk much and we were pretty worried about his speech. Now he could identify and say orange, apple and many many items Hehee... Mummy got to give a special thanks to Grandpa Teo and Grandma Teo for their dedicated time and efforts to guide Raphael... Woohooo...This is Aunty Hoon so called first present for Raphael aside from the cute Teddy Bear she bought for Raphael's full month party... Wah...It has been 18 months since she last buy something for Raphael leh. Even Uncle Lai, always showered Raphael with Yakult, biscuits, chips etc... No wonder Hoon start to feel paiseh and also went to get a top for Raphael. Why are they showering Raphael with presents and food? Oh, this is because our Raphael has a way to get into their hearts, by calling them repeatedly "Ah Yeeee", "Ah Guuuu" everytime he sees them in his sight. **SO SWEET** Even when back at home, he will still missed them alot... Sometimes even call out their names in his dream..This little boy...  Just wash this top...will update with Raphael wearing it in person... How Raphael eats his meals
She will try all sorts of ways. Recently after the Tokyo Trip, Raphael seems to be more resistant to porridge (Maybe due to the 6 days break without porridge in Tokyo...) Grandma Teo as usual, is resourceful. Guess what, she is now using a bowl, with a few ice cubes and a little bit of water to let Raphael "Fish" out the ice cubes using that tiny spoon. *APPLAUSED*... If Raphael do get bored, she will add more ice cubes inside that bowl... Else will be tons of toys to keep him occupied... How can she think of such a brilliant idea to keep Raphael occupied? Mummy witness this when she was on sick leave on Tuesday. Let us give our powerful Grandma Teo a round of big applause.. Thanks to you. Raphael is now 11.8kg! Terrible Twos and Raphael
He will cry at the slightest unhappiness and throw tantrum if things are not done according to his way. He will try to hit us when angry... We as parents sometimes feel frustrated of such behaviour.. But have we truly understand why are they behaving these ways? Maybe I pamper him too much, gone are the times with caning and physical abuse. It will only cause a mark to remember forever in a little kid fragile heart. Seeing how Grandpa Phay's eyes lights up whenever he sees Raphael brings tremendous joy to Daddy..The relationship between father and son can sometimes be a "strained" one..being guys, we may not be able to express our love and care for each other well..Both being quick tempered, conversations used to become arguments hahaha.. But with Raphael as a bridge, and also Daddy becoming "Daddy", he begins to understand the greatness of Fatherly love and appreciate Grandpa Phay all the more..looking at how Grandpa has aged..we sometimes ask ourselves..why we only realised that age has caught up with them only recently..maybe its due to we being too engrossed in our own world and thus neglected precious people around us. After years and years to tolling for the Family, Grandma Phay is giving up her stall selling breakfast items in HG Plaza..End of Nov will be the last day of operation and after that will be days of rest and mahjong. All regulars at this coffeeshops will miss Grandma's good food and bubbly natured service :)  Grandma is calling it quits to rest and relax  Daddy's favourite Carrot Cake from Grandma's stall Little Santa Claus
Its Xmas season again! Last year this time, Raphael was only a 6 months old BABY..Now he is a bubbly 18th Month toddler..how time flies..Look at the Santa costume Mummy got for him..The material is soft and comfortable..so Raphael has no problem wearing it..small problem though..Raphael's head is too big..so the hat cant really fit well :P This will be his official Xmas dress and Daddy is planning to dress him as Santa even going shopping haha..  I am indeed very impressed with their on board service and their attentiveness and also the small details which were being taken care of... I can say that their services and quality are comparable to SQ, if not better.. Personal opinion.. When we boarded the ANA plane, their stewardess are attentive, and surprising thing is we have a baby meal for our baby Raphael... Though he is not eligible for the bassinet..due to the max weight limit of 9kg..(Sian man...he exceeded by 2.5kg...), we were given very good services.. First is the baby snack given to Raphael and he goes "MUM MUM MUM"... He keep eating the sandwich and gave an exaggerated "Mum" Sound... We were so amazed that he actually ate it.. .Maybe its the environment and maybe he is hungry... dunno why... Then came the super early breakfast whereby they ON the light at 5am in the morning...(Singapore time is 4am...) Give us sets of breakfast each... Raphael also received his Breakfast but as he is sleeping, we kept it aside. Then upon return, the late nite snack was Ice cream, Hagan Daz!!! Waaaaa.... Power! Brought Raphael to JG at Evans Road for a visit..the place was hard to reach and the carpark was limited..cant imagine a Sunday afternoon, jostling with all the Mercz, BMWs and Volvos that we saw on a weekday visit haha.. Well, the place looks "expensive" and its not cheap..Raphael seems to be interested in the class that is going on and he will peep into the rooms..Dunno interested in the activities or the little gals in the room haha.. The environment was not too bad, wasnt very cramped and the nationalities of the little ones are mixed and the weekend classes are bilingual..guess it will be good to expose Raphael to multi-racial and language at a young age.. Daddy gave his approval to enrol and we are on waiting list in Feb 2010 after Raphael completes his current KinderMusik semester. Countdown to Tokyo Trip - 12th Nov 2009
 Our new Lojel Web Series Luggage Yeah...we have everything ready, Long John for Raphael, Zara Coat (Phael), Zara Trenchcoat (Mummy), shawl, gloves and socks for Phael, milk powder, diapers, medicine... Mummy and Daddy spent 2 hours packing and vacuuming the clothes and the space saving is tremendous..the luggage from "full" when loosely packed becomes half empty when vacuumed. Relaxing day today, flight in the night and Daddy last min booked movie tickets for 2012. Heard its a nice and thought provoking movie dealing with how human's actions caused our own demise etc.. Raphael's new HairCut
Raphael's hair is getting longer, especially the sides and back..Daddy, however loves it the way it is..so charming..But due to Raphael having a studio session soon, the stylist advise us to trim his hair so that the photos will look nicer..Daddy was like "Huh? need to cut hair to take photo meh..just put gel will do mah...". But anyway, we just brought Raphael to SuperCuts at Compasspoint to trim his locks..Raphael was so uncooperative that he crys and struggle when we put him on the car (seat)..he will cling on to mummy...maybe its the new environment or the presence of the many stylist.. In the end, Raphael clung onto mummy while the stylist cut his hair..all in we need 4 people to entertain him..Mummy, Daddy and 2 stylist. The cut was over in 10mins and when paying, mummy realised its $5 cheaper than our last visit..maybe its due to Raphael not sitting in the Car or watch cartoons haha..  Xmas Tree @ HOME
Our Xmas tree is up..Daddy has been reusing this same White\Gold deco theme for 3 years already..really very thrifty haha.. This year, we will be getting a nice big present for Raphael and let him open it on Xmas eve..He will be so looking forward to every Xmas going forward if we make it tradition in the family.. 2012 Prophecy - What a fearful thought
 But with Raphael Darling born to us, Daddy is starting to be fearful of such thought..how to protect Raphael, how to treasure our times together..If human activities are causing global warming and thus caused Doomsday..Daddy is prepared to go back to pre-historic days, farming and hunting for food, travel on foot, live in caves..so long as Raphael is safe and can grow up in a safe environment.. Starting from today, Daddy will use less aircon, take more public transport, eat less meat (yes..meat increased global warming).. Haha..Daddy thinking too much..but with the thought of doomsday..cant help but feel sad..cant imagine not being able to love and care for Rapahel..if we go to the next world, we will still want to continue caring for Raphael.. Visiting Shaine - 8th Nov 2009
Shaine and Raphael at 4 months old..when they 1st met  Shaine and Raphael Fourteen Months later..the story continues      Its Sunday and mummy brought Raphael to Shaine's house to collect a t-shirt Auntie Corynn (thanks thanks) bought for Rapahel..We reached by noon and Beautiful Shaine is awaiting her playmate for the day... Look at the 1st pics of when they are approx 4 months old when they 1st met at Auntie Doris's house..time flies..they are already 18th month toddlers.. Shaine is so excited to see Raphael and willingly share all her toys..they had a great time watching Barney videos and Raphael enjoy playing on the slide..he will let out a "shriek" sound whenever he slides to the bottom..As for Shaine..she is a heroine..she dont slide haha...she RUNs down the slide.. We got them to hug each other for pictures and you can see how Raphael is "blushing" while Shaine hugs him haha..Shaine is so open in showing her affection while Raphael is more reserved.. Its 30th Oct and Daddy booked this Hotel getaway a month back..good offer at 2 nights for the price of one..Romantic also good to have budget mah..The room is spacious even with a baby cot for Raphael darling..the hotel is just at Bugis Junction, so shopping and makan is so convenient. Nice big KING size bed..Raphael never sleep in his cot throughout the stay The pool area has a baby pool which is at knee length, great for Raphael. There is also a Jacuzzi pool which is sheltered..nice place for a lazy afternoon. Too bad Daddy got didnt manage to catch the Michael Jackson's "This is IT" midnight show..else the stay would have been near perfect..Can you imagine watching midnight till 2am, then slowly walk mins back to hotel and Zzz..thats the whole point of staying in the city! New words of the day - 27/10/2009
 Yeah, Raphael finally learns how to call his uncle "Ah Gu", "Gu Gu" and when he see Yakult...he can pronounce it properly! When Ah Lai Ah Gu hear Raphael calling him, he was so happy that he brought Raphael down to buy Yakult (Phael's Favourite drink).... Hehehee... Very happy his speech is progressing well, all thanks to my parents who taught him all this.. He also can pronounce "Clock" and point to clock lor! Hey hey, not forgetting he also know how to call "Yee Yee" instead of "Ah Chew" for Auntie Hoon (But this is dependent on Phael's Mood...Ah Chew is still the tag for Hoon, maybe hoon should get ah Phael some Milo or Yakult?) Oh by the way, Raphael knows how to call my chinese name! "Yu Ying"!!!! Surprises are springing onto me day by day... When I get my bonuses, I really need to treat my parents who had been so tolerant and so patient with my boy... =) What makes me happy?
What truly make me happy? What is the definition of the word Happy? Happy to me is something which make my heart melts and smile from within.. No fake smiles, no fake acknowlegement..A pure feeling which come from the bottom of my heart and nothing else.. no obligations, nothing... Why am I saying all these? Recently I been observing my boy and he is always playing cheerfully, be it playing with switches, TV, Fan, or his toys. He will smile and laugh...Then i posted him this question..."Baby, are you happy?" Out of my surprise, he nodded his head and reply me "Baby...Happy." Sometimes he will walk to me, hug me from behind and says "Mummy.. Baby.. Happy" I melted when I hear him say all these, he is happy, maybe... I do not believe in giving him numerous classes to enrich him, as I hope that his childhood be filled with plays, eat, happiness.I only believe in enrolling him in classes he will enjoy, like Kindermusic and in future maybe Julia Gabriel. Recently we observed that he is very happy in this class which he had attended for 2 terms (16 weeks) and he love this teacher, Shauna. He will played with her and disturb her during lessons (pulling off her scarf during peekaboo time and exclamining out loud "Zak" and trying to cling to her) Last night he was playful again, didnt sleep till 1am... When I was trying to cover myself with blanket, he came over, said "no more... no more... Mummy"... Pull off my blanket and try to drag me to sit upwards.. "Arrrrh.... What do u want my boy..." I asked... "Play?" He nod his head... Why me? I thought... Daddy is also in the room, sleeping... Yes, sleeping.. "Why dun u go over and disturb him instead?" I ask him... He shake his head.. "Mummy Mummy...." This is the price to pay... No maid, no mother staying over to help me... But i get the freedom, the space I wanted... Of coz there are pros of having a maid or mother staying over to help, more sleep, more relax, more rest... Realised is just rest in this case...But they tend to lose out in the long run, the child will prefer the main caretaker more..trust me.. This is very true... They will not be as close to you, this is the path I have chosen.. Although I do doubt myself sometimes in the journey... But after seeing how much Raphael prefers me.. Its all worth it... They need attention, care and lots of cuddles from us. Well Well... I am tired sometimes... But happy he learnt alot through playing with us. HAPPY!  Monday, October 26, 2009
Uncle Brandon's Birthday Ooops
25th Oct 2009..a Birthday celebration that will remain in Daddy's memory for all the wrong reason haha..Just a week ago before Tua Pek's birthday, Daddy was still telling Mummy he planning to celebrate for Tua Pek at where and where etc.. Then came the rush of activites over the week that he totally lost track of dates..And on Sun 25th Oct, the family met up for dinner at Godpa's house. Grandma cook mee siam *1st unusal thing* on Tua Pek's actual birthday..then no one mentioned anything about the birthday when Tua Pek arrives at the house wearing nice clothes haha *2nd unusual thing*..the *3rd unusual thing* is at 9.30pm, Daddy was rushing Mummy to packup and go home to watch ManUtd Vs Liverpool.. At this point of time, Tua Pek went to the toilet to change out of his nice clothes..Still no one congratulate him...the FACT is everyone forgets about his 33rd Birthday!!Poor Tua Pek also didnt hint earlier hahaha.. Only when BIG Sis-in-law gentle reminder at 10.45pm did the whole family realised whats "wrong" hahaha..immediately, we stopped what we are doing and Godpa went to hunt for a cake at 11.15pm to meet the dateline for blowing candles.. What a memorable Birthday event..  Last min cake - not nice leh..   Why are we all dressed so casually, you guessed it  Busy, Tired and Fun weekend
This weekend was full of activities..from Fri all the way to Sun..Daddy and Mummy took leave on Fri to bring Raphael to ECP Polliwog's for a workout session haha..the place is spacious and child safe..it was also not crowded on Fri when we went.. Raphael had a good time overcoming obstacles, playing slides and throw balls, but what was missing are playmates for him..as we observed that he enjoys more when Rayden, Damien and Jorel is around. Thats what happens on Sat when the F4 gathered at GOGo Bambini at Dempsey for more fun..The boys had a great time interacting while overcoming the obstacles..Poor Daddy..Goliath in David's den..had to squeeze thru the small space just to take photos of Raphael.. Next visit to Polliwogs, mummy was thinking of bringing Yvette jie jie together...yoohoo..it will be so much fun. Polliwogs   Raphael facing all the obstacles..dunno how to start  I am the BABY! We went to PD last weekend to buy some travel medicine for our Tokyo Trip...Daddy was super excited on Raphael's weight as he kept complaining that Raphael seems heavier! So we put him on weighing scale..OMG...11.5kg! hahaa... Duno since when he grew so much, maybe due to the "junkie" food mummy had fed him.. Mcvities lar, Hello Panda, Magnolia milk, Yakult, anything Mummy love, he also love... not forgeting the Whopper burger (daddy always feed him the patties)... Oh ya, recent word Raphael had picked up is "HAPPY"... he will say Mummy, Baby, Happy... Is he trying to tell me that he is happy? Then on one occassion Daddy Jumps up from bed, run out of room...It shocked Raphael alot and he goes patting his chest area... I asked him if he is "papa"--scared... Kent Ridge Park
After our breakfast, as its still early, we decided to drive up to Kent Ridge Park to expose Raphael to some natural surroundings. Up the steep road and we were greeted by a tank..Of course we had to pose with it haha.. The area was not crowded and we let Raphael explore by dragging us around..Daddy wanted to avoid the steep steps up the observatory point, but who knows...Raphael already started dragging Mummy up the steps haha.. Besides the tank, there is a small flower garden, initially Raphael was feeling adventurous and wanted to venture in. But 1/2 way thru, he realized the path is getting narrow and to avoid the shrubs, he actually lifted his arms haha..further in, he made a U-turn and decided its too much for him to explore further..Cute boy As its nearing noon, the sun was strong and we were all perspiring away, especially Raphael who can even perspire when in Air-con room..An enjoyable Sunday morning, and off we go to Grandma Teo's house to rest before Raphael's Sunday lesson.. CTE is JAMMED as usual, so Daddy took the longer but more scenic SLE-KJE route and we reached our Destination at 1045am...yeah..the carpark was not crowded and the restaurant is near the carpark..up a flight of stairs and we are at One Rochester Park We decided on the Rochester Brunch set with the eggs done 2 ways..they offer a wide variety for the set, museli, cereal, fruits, juices, bread and the mains..The service was prompt and friendly..Best of all is the outdoor area was cool and breezy.. We had a nice and lazy time until Raphael decided thats it..he had enough of sitting down, so Daddy and Mummy had to take turns to bring Raphael to "tour" the restaurant compound which is big and beautiful with lotsa shady trees. Overall, enjoyable breakfast with nice surroundings made perfect with the 1 for 1 offer haha.. After our usual Saturday swim, we went to Punggol Prawn Farm to look for Godpa Bennett..He was there prawning and managed to hook about 10 prawns in 1 1/2 hrs..Raphael also had a go at prawning..he was more interested in using the rod to beat the water haha..Daddy and Raphael tried for 10mins and caught nothing at all haha..handover the rod to Godpa and within mins, a prawn was hooked..Its was a real sunny and hot day..Pack up and get ready to go home for our Afternoon nap..yawnzz...
