Raphael is Bilingual!!
Yeah!! All along we thought Raphael is so "Ang Mo Pai".... Keep saying english although my parents are talking to him mostly in chinese... Recently, he start to say "起来, 月亮, 星星, 太阳，进去， 开, " and the chinese version of twinkle twinkle little star "一閃一閃亮晶晶， 滿天都是小星星".... Keep up Raphael! Big Adult!
Raphael is so cute! Last Sunday we went Ho kee to eat Wanton Mee, then halfway thru self feeding, Raphael reach out for the wet tissue and took out a piece..I saw this and thought he is trying to take out all tissue and quickly hide the packet away while he is still holding to one piece. Guess what! He actually took that pc of wet tissue and started to dab around his dirty mouth. Then he put down that piece of wet tissue and continue eating. Then after one mouthful, he start to wipe again. Mummy and Daddy find this action so funny and cute. After wiping, he used that same pc of tissue and wipe ard the chair and table. Then he reached out for my packet of wet tissue and took out one more, this time wiping his mouth... HAiyo.... Such a memorable action! Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
Raphael at ToyRus - again
One of our favourite activity is to bring Raphael to shopping centre to let him run ard freely, and ToyRus is of course one of our Fav..Today, we have some time to spare before Kindermusik, so we went to the one at Forum to window shop..Raphael seems tired from the long Zzzz last night..he slept from 6pm - 10am..a whole 14hrs of rest haha.. However, when we reach ToyRus, he immediately came to live and started leading mummy and daddy by the hand all round the place..funny part is when we carried him out of the stroller, he immediately went behind and push the stroller, as if he had it in his mind all along. He had a fun time touching all the wheels of the cars and trying out all the kiddy rides..after the visit, we carried him onto the stroller and he obediently let us buckle him up before we leisurely stroll back to Tanglin Mall for his lesson. Also to add, today Raphael actually allows Daddy to accompany him in the Kindermusik lesson..Good job!

Visit to Auntie Lynn's house
Its a sunny Sunday and here we are at Auntie Lynn's open house..She prepared a big water slide pool and also the jaccuzi for us little Darlings..I had a great time playing in both the slides and jacuzzi..See how cool i look in my surf suit haha..and see my reaction when Shaine grabs my hand haha..shy shy leh

What a big change!
From this to this...
20 over months passed by so quickly, like a flash of lightning. Sometimes I just wonder, why am I so blessed to have such a great looking boy? With such plain looking parents, we were very surprised to have such a good looking boy, full of charms. All parents will feel that their child are the best, so do we. I am so glad that I have given him the best milk for the past 19months before switching to formula. This is something which I will never regret doing though sometimes I do feel tired, but the thought of the great nutrients passed to him spur me on to continue. He is such a blessing to us, never fail to light up our days. I look forward to witnessing all his milestones.... =D Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Nursery Rhythm

This is the song which I chose to repeat to Raphael at least once a day during my pregnancy stage till now. As during that time I read that we need to sing a tune to them regularly so that in the event they are borned, they will have a special "connection" to this song. Somehow the song which you choose to repeat will have a calming and soothing effect on them when they are cranky. I have been religiously singing to him lar... Sometimes in the lift at my mum's place when he is asleep... Or at bedtime. As Ben had mentioned in the previous post, I was pretending to be asleep and trying to see if Raphael can go back to sleep anot on Saturday Morning. Instead, he sit up, play around..then start to sing. I couldn't believe my ears to be frank. Singing?! Previously he was chanting the hotdog song and the "Big Star Little star" song from MM... Wow! Lovie is 1!
Time passed by very fast and alot of things happened before Linda is blessed with this lovely girl called Lovie! We were invited to her 1 year old party and the sumptous spread of food is indeed tempting for me who is still on "diet" The theme of the party is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We were given a pretty goody bag with interesting toys and sweets inside In this party, we get to meet up with old friends (Jie Ying and Lovie-the bday girl) and our new comer Chloe. She got this BIG eyes and fair skin, should be a beauty when she growed up! Raphael had a good time there, running up and down, being cuddles by the Aunties and Uncles in the party, taking pictures with his "old friend" Jie Ying and Lovie. Raphael singing by himself
 Daddy has been on reservist last week, and our Sony DSLR has been send for repair..thus no new updates lately haha.. Mummy updated Daddy that last weekend, when Raphael woke up and saw that mummy is still asleep (mummy like to pretend to Zzzz so that Raphael will go back to Zzz also)..Raphael actually start to play by himself and in the process rhyme the song "twinkle twinkle little star, how i wonder what you are"..although not very clear, but the rhythm is definitely there.. Simple things like that can make us parents so proud, so proud of Raphael on all his achievements so far..His vocab has expanded from 2 syllabus to 3 now..everyday has new surprise when we see him.. Also his memory is good..he can pre-empt the segments of his favourite videos, know how to count his toys..like in the picture, he is hugging 3 toys..if we try to take one away from him when he is not aware..he will still remember 1 is missing when he turns his attention back on his toys.. When we walk the stairs down from Grandpa Teo's house on the 8th Flr, Raphael will start saying out the numbers as we go past every floor..8, 7, 6 ...... Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
 Raphael is totally into MM Clubhouse VCD, whenever we are inside playroom, he will pull my hand and say "Mummy, Mickey!" then pull me towards the TV... gesture me to play his fav Show. Then when I on this favourite hunt vcd, he will sit down and laugh at "Peep" (the big size dog) tip toeing and running around secretively... He will also called up "dog... hahahaa", not sure wat is so funny.. but this part of the vcd never fail to make him laugh.. (no matter how many time i replay) Good thing about tis is, he picked up the full word "Mickey Mouse", "Hot dog", "Misca, Mosca..." and not forgetting the magic word "Oh Toodles!" Now he will try to sing the hotdog song! hahaa...so funny... and also he will called our Mickey mouse new nick "Ah mouse" Hmmm...seems like he is progresssing to the 3-4 syllabus lor! Raphael is 20mths OLD!
I would say Raphael is indeed learning fast based on his current 20mth old rate. Even Dr Allyson Tan is surprised that Raphael can pick up and speed up on his speech within a few months. Most importantly, I am so glad that I have this healthy and active baby. Nothing beats having a healthy son. Ben ever ask me, if someone were to offer us USD100 Million to take Raphael away from me and I will never ever get to see him. Will I accept? Without any hesitation, my answer is a flat "No". No amount of money can exchange my son. I would rather slog to earn every single cent to buy things for him than to have a fortune without him. I will not compromise anything for him. He is my everything. If taken away, everything be drained away too. Ben>> I, S7818XXXG, hereby swear to my wife..I will never give up my precious Raphael, as he is priceless and oh soooo cute..Although he prefers his mother to me..I will still love him like my own (he is my own hahaha)   Lets look at his 20th Month Milestones achieved: • Washes and dries own hands with help • Learns words at a rate of ten or more a day • Able to set simple goals (e.g., deciding to put a toy in a certain place) • Kicks ball forward • Stacks six blocks • Names simple picture in a book • Points to picture or object when you call it by name • Uses a spoon and fork • Feeds doll • Takes off own clothes • Dumps an object in imitation, such as throwing garbage away • Names several body parts • Sings simple tunes Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
Raphael Progress
 Raphael is now learning super fast, absorbing every single word and anything the adult are saying. Mummy is very conscious about her own speech especially the word "SHIT"... She is trying to get that out of her dictionary... At least for the next few weeks. Just few days ago, Raphael started to call Daddy "AH BEN" or "BEN"... Why? Coz Mummy always calling Daddy this mah...so he follows suit.And he is further encouraged when we were so amused by him. Raphael also know how to called Mummy " YU YING" heheee...Clever boy indeed.  He is now so into calling "Shaine Shaine" Our Raphael little gf's name... that when he sees her, he will bend down and call her Shaine Shaine. Then when we are on the go, sometimes he thinks of Shaine and will also called her name... WOW! Raphael always thinking of Shaine wor! Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
