Clever way to ask for snacks
Date 27 August 2012
Daddy is watching tv in the living room while Raphael plays with his big loader Thomas train set.
Raphael suddenly ask daddy..pointing to the shelf full of snacks like potato chips.
Raphael : daddy, why there are so many snacks on the shelf. You know it's very fattening one. We are on diet you know.
Daddy : we are not eating them what
Raphael : daddy. I am hungry.
Daddy : hungry ah. Want to drink warm milo?
Raphael : daddy. Drink milo also no use. Milk also no use. Chocolate also no use.
Daddy : then what you want?
Raphael : I want to eat kakabee (his slang for calbee chips)

Falling sick again
Date 27th August
The past week has been tiring as both kids fell sick. 1st up is Raphael with fever, then cough and phlegm. As usual, he will vomit in the night when he cough the phlegm out and we had to clean and air the bed.
Raphael is still manageable as his body is more "powerful" than Gabriel. He is also more willing to take the medication unlike gabriel who put up a big struggle Everytime.
Little Gabriel's PD visit cost $196 while Raphael's cost only $90+. This is always the case as Gabriel had sensitive airway and will always be more badly affected.
The kids are recovering after 1 week and appetite is picking up..in the video below, Gabriel is self feeding at 19months old..

National Day 2012
Date : 9th August (Great Weather)
Its our 2nd time watching NDP at Marina Bay Link Mall lawn..last year was less crowded as MBFC is still new..this year its definitely more crowded which is a good thing for watching NDP..this year there is a NTUC event infront of us at the Promenade..they erected 2 giant screens which is also visible for us "free"..so this year's outing is more fun compared to previous where we can only enjoy the Figher planes fly past and fireworks..
One of the most anticipated moment is of course seeing Mr Lee Kwan Yew being introduced..at that moment the crowd cheered out..disagreeing with the National policy is one thing..respect for this leader of man is another..we also cheered :)
We had Sagar (daddy colleague from India) joining us and he too had a great time..Raphael and Gabriel likes him alot and will climb all over him..
The day ended with fantastic fireworks as usual which we managed to capture in the video below..Enjoy!!

GrandParents Visiting Canada
Grandpa and Grandma Phay visited Canada from 27th july to 14th August..They enjoyed the weather there so much that Granny Phay is reluctant to come back haha..With the relaxing pace of life and cool weather..its not hard to imagine her reluctance.. :)

Raphael's School Sports Day
Date : 8th August 2012
Its eve of National Day and its also Raphael's School Sports Day..He made a request that we cheer him on in action, so Mummy and Daddy both took time off just to make this event memorable for him..seeing how happy he is when we could make it really makes it all worth it although we need to rush back work..
The events are carried out in class vs class and in on of the event Raphael's class came in 1st :)
He is one of the more active and agile boy although his size dont look the part haha..in the video we can see him anticipating (tongue licking) the moment his classmate touches his hand..he rushes out and complete his obstacles with ease..

Quad-Cycling at ECP
Date : 28th July 2012
Saw this dual bicycle on our last visit to East Coast park and decided to try it out..its good as the whole family can cycle together..not really cycling for the kids since Gabriel is too young..we can even put an ice box on this bicycle that garantee ice cool drink anytime anywhere..
The kids also enjoys it as they get to snack while enjoying the views and breeze.the only downside is this bike is Sloooooww...very slow..we took 30mins to cover less than 3km..think jogging is faster haha..its also expensive..cost $28 for 1 hour on weekend..no 1 for 1 promotion.. :( we rented this at the kiosk near the former Big Splash..the kiosk near the burger king even more ex..$35 for 1 hours..

St Anne Church's Feast Day
Date : 29th July 2012
Its St Anne Church Feast Day and the whole Family is at the Church..helping out, taking part in games and feasting..Daddy is up early and satay BBQing by 7.30am while the kids drop by at 9am for games and food..
This day is especially exciting for Raphael as its his school ground and his teachers are also manning a fried dumpling stall..when he sees his teachers at their stall, he is soo excited and demands mummy patronise their dumpling haha..after that he lingers around the stall observing his teachers serving guests..Daddy ended up having 2 plates of 4 dumpling each serving haha..
Gabriel's Godparents Andrew and Anna and Aunty Mag and Theresa mans the Cheng Tng stall..its a real treat as the weather is hot on this bright sunny Sunday morning..

Yvette and Family going to Canada
Date : 28th July 2012
Godma, Yvette and Ian will be going to Canada for the next 6-7 months..its a long time away and Gabriel seems to know it..in one of the photo below, see how tightly he holds onto Yvette..
The kids are all up early in the morning to send them off at the airport..all still in their PJs..
The next time the kids meet, we will have a new addition..a baby sister Claire for yvette and ian :)
