Raphael 5YO Celebration
Date : 1st May 2013
Its Labour day today and 2 days before Raphael officially turns 5! Time really flies..our1st Darling is already so BIG..Daddy told mummy to "tone" down the annual birthday celebration and thus she is only allowed to buy a customised Doraemon cake..
Foodwise, we are going for homecook and some fastfood over 8 course buffet spread..We have curry and Granny Phay's signature Kueh Pie Tee..
We only invited immediate family and a few of his friends along so that the kids can interact..
 Raphael just awoken and excited about his birthday gathering  You may think its Gabriel's birthday..he is soo excited on seeing the cake and love his pose..

Weekend Escapade to Melaka and Port Dickson
Date : 27-29th April
**Meleka** Day 1
We planned this short weekend getaway to Port Dickson Grand Lexis hotel a month back and we are soo looking forward to it as we will also be stopping over at Malacca for breakfast..This will be ours 1st visit to this historical town..Joining us are grandpa and granny Phay..
We set off at 645am and there is no queue at Tuas 2nd Link..by 740am we are well on our way..travelling at 110km\h (thats the max our lau pok car can go), we took close to 2 1/2hrs to reach melaka..the delay is actually the short 10km after the exit from highway into melaka town..i think it took us close to 20mins..
Somehow it just seems to be hotter when in Malaysia..in Legoland, Malacca..the weather is just so much hotter than in Singapore..we are sharing the same sky and we are not that far apart

**Port Dickson Grand Lexis Resort - Day 1
After leaving malacca, we travelled another 70km to Port Dickson..we reached the resort at 2pm and check-in with the room ready..Great!..we are abit tired from the journey and hot weather earlier at Malacca.
Entering the room..we are pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the room..2 king sized bed with ample space on each side..a small pantry, washup area, seperate toilet and bathing room and the gorgeous personal pool!
Raphael immediately stripped down to his birthday suit and jump into the pool to cool down

This is Granny Phay's 1st time in a pool in more than 20 years?

all the units here comes with personal pool..
Dinner at Seaview Seafood Restaurant..our 2nd visit and the food is still good.

Dinner and night explore - Day 1
After Dinner, we went to the Oceanic Mall (followed GPS but cant find it and found this place)..this seems to be a newly developed waterfront project with many pubs, cafes etc..there is a hypermart called value mart..there is a night amusement park when we are there and the kids enjoyed the rides and games..
Raphael tried the canoeing and guess what! he actually fall into the water at the end as he didnt follow instructions and tried to climb out on this own..he is totally drenched and provided laughter for all people there..

We also celebrated Grandpa and Raphael's birthday with a complimentary cake from the hotel
