4th Studio Photo Shoot
We initially signed up with Impact model hoping Raphael can get selected for advertisement modelling haha..but as the days, months gone by, we already give up haha..so far only managed to get 1 audition (which was cancelled last min) ..also dunno how true..sekali they just call us up to give us hope.. But seeing the portfolio thru the months, we decided to let Raphael continue with the package of 3 times per year..because we can capture his growth in nicely taken studio shots which works out to be cheaper than going for full studio packages offered elsewhere.. Also there's always hope for that phone call someday.    .  .  Can you see the foundation? .  Not happy when applying makeup on his precious face . Fun Day @ T3
Its the annual F1 weekend..and Town area is a defnite no go with all the road blocks..Changi Airport T3 seems an "exciting" place to bring Raphael to..and true to our expectations..there are lotsa activites for Raphael.. There is a free drawing activity at B2, numerous playground at all levels, Tamiya roadshow at Departure hall and of course Raphael's favourite "MRT (skytrain)" All in we spend close to 3 hours there and best of all, the parking is cheaper on weekends..most shops are having GST rebates so we get to save more!  .  .  . Interesting Conversation with Mummy
 This conversation happened last night at Grandpa Phay's house for Sunday dinner.. Raphael was doing his business in the living room, and he will usually be in a squatting position..from his expression, you can easily guess what he is doing.. On seeing Raphael perspiring, Mummy ask raphael to go into the room coz got air con n fan... more cooling to "umm umm" inside... Raphael stood up and walked over to Mummy and squat down, he also requested mummy to do the same.. Raphael : Mummy 我们一起 "umm sai" 看谁赢 Mummy : OK..(and squat with him...) The aunties were curious about what his doing and came in to see..and he shouted back at them Raphael : Five "lao gou" 不要偷看 Ah Phael "pang sai" Suddenly he pat Mummy on her shoulder and said very seriously... Naming our 2nd Darling
Many names has been going through our minds, or rather Daddy's mind on what name to give our soon to be born baby boy..Rachel and Audrey are out haha..our hopes for a baby girl is gone...The gynae double confirmed last week that there is something extra down there.. From the simple polls on the blog, Ethan is the winner..but Mummy says the names sounds like "吃饱了(eaten)"..so this is not selected..and Louis sounds like a bag..Thomas sounds like a train..these are all mummy's comments..Gabriel is the forerunner now as Daddy likes this name..Again our Dear mummy says it sounds strange as Raphael is attending Julia Gabriel..OMG..what is this mummy thinking.. . The names we considered are all ArchAngel's in Catholism..They are Raphael, Michael and Gabriel..Raphael is already taken by our 1st Darling..Why not Michael? u guessed it..its too common..also Michael Phay (Fay) got jailed and caned by Singapore Govt for vandalism..so we are left with Gabriel..Daddy's Primary and Secondary school is St Gabriels', and Rapahel is attending Julia Gabriel..so Gabriel Phay it will be.. .  ~ Archangel Gabriel ~ Gabriel's name means 'God is my strength'. Gabriel is the Angel of child conception or the process of adopting a child. Gabriel also helps anyone whose life purpose involves art or communication. Defender of the element of water and the west. The Angel of Resurrection, mercy and peace and benefactor of 'Messengers'. Gabriel will help you with purity, rebirth, creativity, prophecy, purifying your thoughts, bodily and emotionally. Mid-Autumn Celebration over the weekend
Theme : 中秋节 Its the weekend before Mid-Autumn and we have 2 gatherings lined up for this weekend..On Sat, we had a mini gathering for the 5 little ones at Auntie Faith's house..the little ones had a great time playing with light sticks and lanterns.. Raphael was especially shy that night, really unlike him..he "hide" himself behind the water pipe instead of playing the the rest initially..but after a while he warms up to the occassion and started cosying up to Adam's (our little host) grandfather..Raphael really has a liking for the elderly haha.. Raphael is also very imaginative..he treats the water pipe as an Apple Tree for the night..he will go to the pipe and tiptoped to pretend to pluck apples from the "Tree" and eat the apples..we will also play along and request that he "pick" some apples for daddy and he will act along.. On Sunday, we went to St Anne Church for the gathering with tickets from Aunt Theresa..its a simple dinner and lanterns for kids affair..guess Ian enjoyed the most as he gets to hold 2 lanterns..and he holds them real tight haha..see how he laughs when Grandma plays with him. Raphael the Actor
Yesterday was mummy's gynae visit again..Raphael as usual woke up early..as if he knows that we have something on this morning..to "see" his 弟弟 again.. As Mummy is having her checkup, Raphael busied himself running around the room..as and when he will wander into the checkup area and observe what the Gynae is doing to mummy for the scan.. While at home, he was running around and suddenly he said fell down and says pain pain..he then climbed on to the sofa and laid down.then he pulls his shirt up revealing his stomach..He then proceed to says he want to see Doctor..Mummy realised that he was role playing what Mummy did this morning at the Gynae.. So Mummy decided to play along and use his home-made "stethescope" to scan his stomach..at this moment, he said that 弟弟 will be on TV which is so true haha..in the morning scan, the Doctor was projecting the scan on a monitor and Raphael saw it and says "Hello" to 弟弟.. Day Out - No need Work!
Its mummy and Daddy's off day from work..and we had activities planned for the whole day..from food to shopping to swimming!! Lunch was at He Ji Noodle house in Jalan Kayu (Mum's fav) and Raphael shared the food with us..he likes noodles too..and he prefers the lime juice over the sour plum.. After that we went to Junior League in Suntec to have his hair trimmed..Usually we will go to SuperCuts in Compasspoint..but as he will cry whenever we even walked near the shop, we reckon he will be better if we try a new shop..So we tried the Junior League in Suntec as Yvette and Ian had their haircut there also. But alas, Raphael hates cutting hair and no matter which place we chose, the result will still be a wailing Raphael..guess we will stick to Supercuts in future as the stylist is super FAST..this is important to minimise Raphael's discomfort.. Next to "compensate" him for this haircut, we brought him for swimming as promised and he really enjoys the pool as its not crowded and he is safe to play without worries of other boys bumping into him like on weekends. Relax at home
Lately Raphael has been spending more time at other corners of the house..The living room has a small arm chair that he loves to sit and Kiao Kar while Daddy and Mummy watches TV.. He will bring all his cars and trains in a small container and play by himself on the coffee table..He is also starting to be interested in trains and the tracks that we dig out from the storeroom as he didnt show interest back then..He is also capable of fixing the tracks together on his own and it sure is a good way to create creative thinking for him. Updated Pics of the Little Phays
Taken during last Sunday gathering at Grandpa Phay's house (missing Caleb who is enjoying life in Shanghai). Baby Ian's cheek is so pinchable.  Below is a video of Yvette in her Apple Tree Play Group..We managed to capture this as we are leaving our house to go Lunch when we see Yvette starting her lesson under her block..Raphael may also enroll here next year for 4 months while Mummy has her maternity leave.. Really excited about Raphael starting lesson as somehow feels such playgroup is different from his weekly Julia Gabriel's class..Like which parent wont be excited about our little ones attending lesson all by themselves for 2 hours haha..Cant wait to see Raphael in one.. Hari Raya Day Out
Occasion : Hari Raya Day out at Vivo Its the start of the long awaited loong weekend..Mummy brought Grandpa and Granny Teo to Vivo for some Dimsum lunch to thank them for taking care of our Darling Raphael..We went to the Imperial Herbal Restaurant on the 3rd floor opps Daiso.. This place serves nice Dimsum and small dishes at reasonable price..the place is also spacious and have a good view of Sentosa while we dine. After that we went to a specialty shop besides Daiso, from the pictures taken, can you guess what specialty shop is it?  Raphael camera shy  The nice char siew pastry that Daddy loves  Speciality Shop #1 - nice variety of toys  #2 - Great array of foods  #3 - so many different model of pram to choose from  #4 - clothes of all sexes and sizes  Raphael chasing the birds outside vivo roof top *Those pictures are from a Pet Speciality shop! Raphael Surprises Us
 Raphael continues to surprise us with his use of words at specific moements..last friday, on his 28th Month "birthday", we brought him to VivoCity for cakes and as Daddy is driving up the spiral carpark, Raphael says "Daddy, 小心"..hohoho..Son asking Father to be careful when driving.. Yesterday, while at Giants foodCourt for lunch, Raphael was seated in the typical Ikea babyseat..he insisted on buckling up although the strap was faulty...Daddy tried but cant get the buckle to work..So we told him its ok not to buckle..But Raphael said "警察会抓" as in Police will catch..hahaha..We have been telling him that Police will catch if he dont sit and buckle up in the car..he tot even in the foodcourt he also needs to buckle up :D Once when he soiled his diapers, mummy "peeped" to see if he needs to change diapers..and Raphael said "Mummy 又偷看我的diaper". Daddy's Latest Household Gadget
This gadget has been on Daddy's radar from quite some time..as Daddy is the "official" homekeeper, vacuum, moping, wiping and tidying the house falls under him..So having the right gadget to help him carry out the task more efficiently is a must.. Vacuum is an effortless task with our Delphin vacuum cleaner, but moping the floor on the contrary is a tedious and time consuming task..using the traditional mop, Daddy need to use lotsa strength and many pails of water to remove all the grease and dirt on the floor in order to have a non "sticky" floor.. As age is catching up, Daddy becomes lazier and tends to vacuum more and mops less..but when he learns of this product, he begins to visualise how easy the grease on the floor can easily "dissolves" using steam power..so today we finally made our way down to the Golden "triangle" of Tampines Ikea, Giant and Courts.. IKEA - to buy paper boxes to organise Raphael's clothes Giant - to buy another wonderful product, Fabreeze that can remove odour just by spraying on fabrics Courts - to buy the wonderful Steam Cleaner Watch the video of this gadget in action to be convinced that housework can be easy and enjoyable too :)  This is Daddy's latest purchase Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
Delivery Dinner - Domino's Pizza
Home Delivery Dinner used to be only Pizza Hut, then KFC tagged along, and soon MacDonalds also got into the scene..We are getting sick rotating between these 3 and finally we decided to try Domino's..From the brochure, the cost of a Domino is more expensive compared to Pizza Hut, for $21 plus we can get 2 regular from PH, but at this price, we only got 1 regular from Domino's..but as Daddy read from some food blogs that the pizza from D's is good, we think the price should be justifiable..also it makes no sense to order PH with 2 regular when only Daddy and Mummy is eating.. The difference between PH and D's...well..the timing is one thing..D's delivered within 30mins compared to PH's 45mins..taste wise, maybe due to the 30mins delivery, the pizza still smells and taste "fresh" from the oven..its not warm, but still abit hot..unlike PH's :p The ingredients are also better tasting as they are "fuller" compared to PH's measly bits of meats and cheese.. The verdict, Domino's is definitely better in terms of taste and freshness..but the downside is the higher price..for a couple's delivery dinner, D's is the choice.  The Delivery box is compact and attractive!  The cheese is generous and the dough is soft..  The fresh Garlic Bread, its soft and the garlic filling is yummy..creamy infact Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
