Phay Family Xmas Eve Dinner
This Xmas eve dinner gathering is held at our house with the guests mainly from the Phay side of the family..Dinner spread are the usual fare like Baked ham, Turkey, Spaghetti, Drumlets, Sandwiches and kueh Pie Tee! (Daddy's favourite)
This year, we opted for an Tandoori Turkey from an Indian Restaurant located in Raffles City level 3 called Shahi Maharani..they are reportedly one of the pioneer to offer Turkey Tandoori style..
We had the stuffed version with Briyani rice and this bird is well received by all who likes Indian food..the bird is juicy and the Briyani rice goes well with the meat and chutney..in Daddy's personal opinion, this version is better than the past 2-3 years of "normal" 5***** hotel's baked turkey which cost alot more..this 4-5kg bird with stuffing cost $87 incl GST..
This tandoori Turkey is highly recommended for all Xmas party needing a Turkey that is unique in taste with juicier breast meat..
Raphael is dressed up in his 3YO Santa Claus outfit and we cant button up his bottoms..so the costume looks abit like Sexy Santarina instead..Every one had a great time laughing at his cheeky poses while giving out presents for the night..
We had great food and company tonight..too bad missing the 2 Phay Bros (brandon and bennett) and Family
The fragrant (no "shao wei") and juicy Tandoori Turkey..2 thumbs up!
Tried this Pineapple Honey baked ham, meat slightly tougher and saltier..still prefer the Cherry Glazed version of past year..
no more "experimenting" and next year and will get back the usual

Visit Legoland with Auntie Layhoon
Date : 14th Dec 2012
Its our 3rd visit to Legoland..this time we have Auntie Layhoon and Shawn with us and Gabriel stayed home..we were caught in a 30mins jam at tuas 2nd link as we set off late around 10am..we reached the place close to 11am and after a quick meal, we started the day in the park.
Although its the school hols and a Friday, the crowd is still manageable..each rides took us around 20mins with some popular ones close to 30mins..we managed to ride the mummy adventure, obervatory tower which we skipped previously..we also took the scary Project X roller coaster..
We ended the day at close to 6pm exhausted..we set off to Aeon Bukit Indah for dinner and grovery shopping and left Msia at 1030pm and reached SG close to 1130pm..

Uncle Lawrence POP@SISPEC
Date : 21st Dec 2012 (Supposedly End of the World)
We are at Pasir Laba camp this evening to witness the passing out parade of Uncle Lawrence..he will be receiving his 3rd Sargent rank today and will be posted to Artillery to continue his service to the Nation..
Witnessing this parade, Daddy thinks back of his own some 12 years back..whah..time really flies
Raphael is soo excited about this event that he keep rushing daddy to come early in the morning when the parade starts at 6pm..
He is so happy seeing so many men in uniform and its also his 1st time visiting an Army camp..walking from the carpark, his attention is captured by all the army vehicles in the ground..
When its time for the parent to affix the Chevron on the new commanders..we can see how proud mother and son looks :) Raphael also looks proud to be in green amongst the soldiers..

Gabriel's 1st 2 syllabus word - Apple
Date : 20th Dec 2012
Today marks the 1st time Gabriel pronounce a 2 syllabus word..its really long overdue considering Raphael speaks so much earlier..
This morning while Daddy is resting in the room, Gabriel walks in and point to the apple picture on the baby mat and says "Aaaple"..Daddy didnt think much of it but suddenly realised its a milestone for Gabriel..he has been able to pronounce "Nana", "Papa", "Mama"..all are repeating sound..but not 2 syllabus words until today..
Absolutely loves the way he says "Aaaple"..he is turning 2 soon in Jan..cant wait to hear more of his speech soon...

The kids singing Karaoke

We are at a gathering and there is Karaoke as well..so we played some songs that Raphael likes to sing and as expected, he "shamelessly" takes the mike and sing along..he has been listening to this song "感动天感动地" almost daily while Daddy drove back home..
In one of the video, you can even hear him "drag" his voice Eeeeeeee!! Gabriel also tries to sing along with Raphael..infact we notice that he also starts humming along when listening to songs in the car..

Legoland Visit Dec 2012
Its our 3rd Visit in 3 months to Legoland..this time round, Gabriel is not with us..and Aunty Layhoon and Uncle Shawn comes along on this trip..We spend a good 7 hours in the park before going to Jusco at Bukit Indah for Dinner and grocery shopping..wrapping up the day close to 10pm..
We made a pact to open our eyes so that the camera can capture our expressions..Mummy Gekeng cant keep her eyes open while Daddy and Auntie Layhoon managed to open ours..Raphael..his eyes seems to be always open during all his 3 rides haha!! we suspect its he is too shocked to close his eyes..

Raphael ask me this question. 你去那里找这个老婆？ 这么凶。一直骂我. Omg!
This words are exactly how it was phrased coming out of this boy's mouth one night..
found out that he was scolded my mummy for using his feet to kick Gabriel's head and stomach..
still its very funny that he will ask Daddy this question...as the common thinking will be why the mummy always scold him..but the way he phrase it is "addressed" to Daddy..where did you find this wife from?
Daddy kept laughing when he heard it..and till now will still laugh when we think of his words

Ganny Teo's Birthday
We are celebrating Granny Teo's 50 got change birthday..one funny incident is that when raphael saw the cake box..he was so excited..wanting to see the cake..but when the cake is revealed..he did a palm to face action..something like OMG with extreme dissapointment haha..we guess he is expecting to see a beautifully decorated cake..but got a black and simplistic looking one instead haha..
looks can be deceiving and the cake taste great! its very chocolately and moist..its also very heavy..not the usual run of the mill sponge cake..

Daddy's Company Xmas Event 2012
The kids attending the Xmas event by Daddy's company..the kids enjoyed themselves..especially Raphael who as usual is all decked out in his army uniform and seeks attention wherever he goes..he mixes with almost all the kids (close to 100 we think)..he will go up to them and pretend to fire at them..he is not shy at all
Gabriel is more reserved and only sticks close to mummy..he is dressed up in Santa's elves costume and looks oh soo adorable..

Xmas 2012 - Canada version
This year Yvette and Ian are spending Xmas in Canada..Pictures send back of them decorating their real tree and also funny moments of Yvette imitating the heavily pregnant Yvonne..soo funny...
Really looking forward to seeing them back in Febuary for Chinese New Year with little Elyse..
