Lunar 7th Month - Do you believe - Part II
Lady in white.. We brought Raphael to his sunday I can read lesson at Rivervale Mall..her favourite teacher is Miss Cindy (wore black that day)..dropping him off, we proceeded to do our sunday grocery shopping etc..when its time to pick him up, the same cheerful, cheeky boy appeared at the door just on the dot haha..wearing his own shoes. We happily wanted to proceed with the days activities when Mummy remembered that we need to inform the Teacher that raphael will be missing his next week's lesson and need to make up..we U-turn back to look for teacher cindy. Speaking to her, she related below to mummy which she observed earlier in the class Raphael in class he keep saying there are 2 teacher - in actual fact only one teacher in black tee. He say there is another in white color 白色衣服的老师..He tell the teacher Cindy there is one more in class and he request to go toilet twice. Both time he told the helper Aunty that 白色衣服的老师 want to bring him go buy curry puff. The 2nd time he went he even want to go off saying that fellow in white wan bring him go buy now. Lascal - Buggy Board
We have been eyeing this lascal buggy board for ages..we have been 1/2 hearted about it, partly due to the price tag and the tot of lugging on more "baggage" around..but with Raphael constantly contending with Gabriel for the stroller, we decided to get it with a $20 robinson voucher..it cost SGD 129 retail price.. Immediately after gettting it, Daddy fixed it all within 20mins and its looking good so far...it fits well on the Maclaren XT, removing the board when folding the pram is a breeze too..Raphael is very excited whenever we take the pram out..he will insist that we fix the board on and eagerly "jump" onboard..the only downside so far seem to be the navigation part when Raphael is standing on the board..the twist and turn is needs more effort and the navigation angle increases..no longer can we make sharp turns with the buggy board bearing Raphael's full weight.. Guess we just need to get use to the manouvering with this extra weight..apart from this, the buggy board is really useful when Raphael complains of his legs aching..Gabriel no longer needs to give up his comfy seat and Mummy no longer needs to carry Gabriel or sometimes Raphael in her pupsik.. Lets hope Raphael wont get bored of this buggy anytime soon.. New found life - pool table
The pool table is 5 years old and apart from the initial few months of moving into our house where we will play it often, the number of times when we open it during the last 4 years is rare..Daddy was even considering to sell it and get a proper dining table.. but last week, raphael suddenly request to play pool..he is soo serious that he will acede to all our request to eat, bath etc before we allow him to play.. he is very "serious" when he is playing and will insist on his own playing style when daddy tried to coach him the correct position etc..to him, so long as the ball goes into the hole..he dun care how he do it..after dinner he will request that we open the table to let him play.. Gabriel? we just let him sit on the table and pose lor..  putting the ball in position  taking aim  taking it seriously  good stance.. Visit from auntie Kirti and hubby
Daddy's colleague from India office came visiting and we had a great day out with Auntie Kirti and her hubby at Raffles place and Clarke Quay..for drinks we actually went to Hooters..the hot hot american chain who are famous for their waitress haha..the weather is sweltering hot and humid but its surprisingly cool under the restaurant's shelter where we had snacks and beer..Raphael is hooked on apple juice and will request for it whenver we dine out.. also, we dont know where he got this food combination from, he will also request to have Ham & Cheese salmon, although we know he will never eat such food..he kept repeating he wants ham and cheese salmon.. Auntie Kirti simply loves the boys and Uncle Sushil enjoys chatting with Raphael..raphael also enjoys their company although in the later part of the day, he started to throw tantrum due to tiredness, uncle sushil still managed to keep him entertained as we make our way back to Raffles place.. Updates on the boys
 Gabriel at close to 7 months old..he is a cheerful and easy going boy..smiles for anyone..everyone..even when he is awake, he will lie quitely on the bed and not make noise to wake mummy up unless he is hungry..he is currently Grandma and Grandpa's favourite Darling..  Raphael at 3 years 3 months..standing at 102cm and weighs 20kg...he is certainly heavy weight haha..he is starting to use more English in his daily conversation..partly due to his I can read lesson and partly due to hims spending more time with our English speaking domestic helper..Daddy and mummy also made effort to converse in English..all these small little contribution helps..these pics are taken during his impact modelling portfolio photoshoot..he is soo vain he even allows the full makeup on his face.. Lunar 7th Month - Do you believe?
its halfway past the chinese lunar 7th month and during this month, elders will advise us to not to : 1. not to walk on grass patch 2. not to stay out too late 3. not to step on offerings 4. etc etc etc 2 days back, we were at home having dinner at the table..gabriel was in his rocker next to us on the floor..the fan is blowing behind us...nothing abnormal..the fan is not making any particularly loud sound also..just the normal humming sound..but we noticed that gabriel kept glancing at the fan..his head position needs to turn more then 45 degrees to see the fan..meaning its quite strenous for him to do so..but he still keep turning back..after a while, he started to tear, on the verge of crying...we pacify him and didnt think much of it..just tell him the its the fan..nothing to worry..but he has been in position many times and the fan never bothers him...why today? is there something at the fan that cause this the anxiety? raphael has always been comfortable in the house also..but this month, we noticed that he suddenly becomes afraid of the dark..even in daylight, when the toilet is not as bright, he will say he is scared of the dark place..one night when mummy is working on the lappy on the study desk, facing the living room. Raphael ran in and squeeze behind her...grabbing her and say he is scared..all this time looking at the empty and dark living room..saying he is scared of the clock..again this has never happen and the clock has been there for ages.. One night after returning home from outing, just when we opened the main door and was about to step in, raphael suddenly ask "里面有魔鬼吗?" meaning is there Devil inside the house? What makes him say this? Did he see anything in the house before? the last and most horrifying incident takes place in the playroom..the whole family, Daddy(1), Mummy (2), Raphael(3) and Gabriel(4) is relaxing in the room..Raphael as usual his bubbly self, started counting 1..2..3..4..5..! normally we will just ignore and treat it as he fails his math haha..we ask him to repeat again..he goes 1..2..3..4..5..mummy is abit uneasy at this point..then Daddy went a step furthur, asking Raphael to count and point at the same time..he points to daddy, mummy, gabriel, empty space besides us and Raphael..this is how he counted 5..empty space? you decide haha.. this is the last straw..mummy immediately called for backup and ask grandpa and grandma phay to come boost human count in the house and also brought some blessed water from Vatican to the house to give the kids a wipe down..Mummy also took out his charm and hang round Raphael's neck.. Godpa and Family - Canada - 30th Birthday
Godpa Bennett celecrated his 30th Birthday in Canada..his many birthday overseas..whats different is that he is spending it with all his beloved ones this year..they are coming back at the end of august..poor godpa..come back must be very happy hor..but when its time to go back canada, he will be aaalooonee.. But 3 years will pass very fast..they are already halfway thru his overseas stint..  the homebaked and decorated cheesecake the kids Singing Happy Birthday to daddy  our beautiful yvette midst of decorating the cake..its stars they are drawing some miscellaneous pictures and video of the family in Canada the kids playing a game of wits? speed? godpa bennett caught a fish..  yvette posing with a Raw Lobster..not sure is it LIVE or DEAD haha Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

National Day 2011 - MBFC
National Day 2011..Raphael and Gabriel's 1st outdoor experience of NDP..we didnt managed to get ballot of tickets, so daddy decided on the nice, windy and shady grass patch besides his office at MBFC to have a outdoor experience.. We set off and reach our destination at 430pm after some 15mins slow moving traffic from Marina South to Marina boulevard..unknown to alot of ppl, MBFC tower 2 has lotsa parking space unlike MBFC tower 1 and Link mall carpark space which fills up quickly and also traffic jam is unavoidable due to the one way road direction.. Parking done, and feeling hungry, we went to Paradise Inn at MBLM for dinner at 5pm..again beating the crowd..no queue, no long waiting time for our food..Makan done and we are on our way to get a nice spot on the lawn to view the fireworks... We again, indulge Raphael and brought his bicycle along as the place is spacious and he can ride around while we wait for the fireworks..as usual, he is all decked out in his Policeman's hat and pistol on his waist..riding his bike with 2 Singapore flag flying in the wind makes him the attention of alot of people on the lawn.. he really enjoys the attention and went ard saluting and waving to all the people who noticed this little policeman..he even made some new found friends who came up to him and he spoke to them in his limited english vocab.. we counted more than 10 occassion when passerby request to take photo with Raphael..he is really a magnet with his dressing.. The fireworks are magnificient although the aerial display is disappointing..no usual fighter jets display..guess this is sacrificed to allocate more time for the army and navy display.. After the event, we managed to get out of the area in 10mins and the whole outing is fun and hassle free..all due to Daddy's good planning.. Fireworks display  funny expression   his policeman dressup for the day..complete with a flag  rinding his bike around and attracting attention  gabriel all smiley  family shot.. Patriotic Raphael Singing
National Day 2011 is nearing and granny phay tries to teach Raphael the national anthem..he only manage to pick up a few words..Mari Kita, Majullah, Singapura and oddly Aljunied..well, what has Aljunied got to do with national anthem? we also ??? how he learn this word? we also ??? but he incorporate it into his song haha he is soo engrossed in his singing that he closes his eyes.. he can "drag" his voice.. A visit to the now famous railway track
With all the hype about the decomissioned Railway tracks in the papers and news..we decided to make a visit to this stretch near rifle range road with the boys for an outdoor experience..we reached around 4pm and the weather while not exactly scorching hot..but its still relatively warm and humid..well, we cant always be cooped up in aircondition comfort..letting the kids experience the nature can also arouse their curiosity to to the green surroundings.. Gabriel seems to be enjoying the view and weather..he is smiley throughout the walk..the same cannot be said of Raphael..he is "complaining" of the uneven suface that is hard to walk, the ants on the tracks blah blah..typical city boy..put him close to nature and he is full of "complains"..nevertheless, we made him walk along the tracks and he soon forgot his grouses and enjoyed the walk as well.. Godpa and Family - Canada - New Boat
Pictures send back from Canada..Godpa Bennett taking the family out boating on his new boat..the kids looks to be enjoying the outing with no hint of fear or sea sickness from the pictures..guess the family must have had an enjoyable time..Godpa Bennett is mad on licence..he has private pilot licence, driving licence, boat licence..soon he will be taking commercial pilot licence..   the guy with many licence   even Ian is capable of steering the boat haha..future Rear Admiral Phay  the smile looks tense..:)  yvette looking cool on behind the control Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
