Gynae visit - 12 weeks old
Date : 2nd Gynae Visit This is mummy's 2nd scheduled visit to Doctor Kek, the same gynae who delivered that cute little boy seated besides the Obasan haha..Oops! Its a saturday and Raphael machiam like knowing we are visiting Doc Kek, woke up real early around 730am..he as usual, spend his time working his charms on all the nurses..all seems amused by this little chinese speaking boy.. funny to observe how the kids interact especially the only other kid in the clinic is a 3 year old AngMo kid. Mummy did a detailed scan on "mei mei" and we can see the round head, little fingers and toes..Mummy also contributed 3 big capsule of blood for "oscar" test. All are well for today's checkup..next appt will be 4 weeks later and soon we will know if we really have a "mei mei" Its meant to be a lazy lazy lazzy day, and we proceeded to have breakfast at Dome cafe at Dempsey..reached there with ample parking lots and parked infront of the cafe and made our way inside..settled down to order our usual favourites.. Daddy spotted Aileen Tan, the local channel 8 actress in the cafe having brekkie. Just at this moment, Mummy received a call alerting of some issues at work, this is really a once in a BLUE moon issue for her and she needs to go back home to remote access..the lazzzzy breakfast was disrupted and we proceeded to gobble down the food and paid our bills and vvrrooom.. . Handsome boy with Obasan .  The breakfast of fries for Raphael, croissants for Mummy and the big breakfast for Daddy .  . Dieting Raphael - Phase 2
Date : Weekends with Raphael The efforts to watch Raphael's diet has paid off a little..just by reducing his snack intakes, it seems his pants are no longer that tight..but we need to take it slowly as its not "fair" to totally deprieve him of all these stuffs since it has becomes like a habit.. Apart from diet, we also introduce more activities and encourage him to "workout" more..like challenging him to a "race" will get him all excited and Run..instead of carrying him from the carpark to home, we let him walk together with us..during outdoor activites at Julia Gabriel, we let him play at the playground instead of sandplay.. Dieting aside, Raphael seems to have already accepted the fact that he will soon have a "mei mei"..he will suddenly poke mummy's stomache lightly and says "du mei mei"..he also started to let Daddy "Yang Or" him more..like making contingency plan for Mei Mei's arrival haha.. Every weekend, Raphael seems to know that its time for his "demands" and will repeatedly request to take MRT..so for the past 2 weeks, after his JG class, we will have lunch at a place with MRT access..last week was Bishan on Circle line..this week is at Ion, taking the North-South line from Orchard to Marina Bay  Raphael encouraged to do more physical activites..in fact he is already very active..but intake also alot haha  Raphael has been able to feed himself more independently without creating a mess lately  Seated, he will request "MILO" and proceeded to wait haha..Mummy exploring more "healthy" options for him  Child spotted alone on empty MRT Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
Raphael's cousin Baby Caleb is BORNED
Date : 25th July 2010 Venue : KKH Its been a long awaited wait for the family..Laiping was admitted on Sat morning to start the induce process and we are all expecting to be Uncles and Aunties again by late evening..but Caleb has other plan..he wanted to share the same birth "day" as his Daddy and chose to be delivered on the 25th instead. Its been a "longer" than usual wait especially for the "poor" mummy who had to endure so many hours on non-action. By 6pm, we know that the decision is for CS, so the time for Caleb's birth is finally nearing. He is a "loong" boy..measuring 54.5cm and weighs ~ 4kg..compared to Raphael's 51cm and 3.65kg..Caleb is the reigning heavyweight champion of his generation in the family. From everyone's opinion, he takes after mummy in terms of looks..but in terms of size..must be the PHAY family's haha.. Dieting Raphael - Phase 1
Slowly slowly but surely Raphael is getting fatter around the waist..although he is not eating much porridge and rice, but his snacking habit is atrocious..in-between meals, he will constantly be snacking on biscuits, hello panda, yakult, HL choco milk, OCK curry pok, oki poki and lots more..until recently he started to complain to Mummy "Raphael stomach pain pain"..on probing, we realised its not due to stomache, but due to his pants are too tight on him. In the pictures, we can see how his little tummy has developed..we cant be constantly indulging him and buy larger pants for him..reminder has been send to all immediate families to stop buying snacks and allowing Raphael to snack so often..what used to be an indulgence has becomes a daily affair..all these little snacks has contributed to the balloon he carrys around his little waist now.. Action before its too late..Our phase 1 plan is to reduce his snacking..and if really needs to snack, it will be healtier options..Hello panda replaced with Marie Biscuits, Curry pok instead of once almost every 1-2 days will be restricted to once a week. Jacob Ballas Garden - Again
Date : lazy lazy saturday afternoon Venue : Jacob Ballas Children Garden Daddy is not working today as its supposed to be mummy's gynae visit..but last min Doc called saying it might be too early for checkup as our 2nd Darling's growth may be too early to do a proper check..so we decided to postpone it.. Raphael was "deposited" with Granny Teo and off to the movies for "Inception" early in the morning for Daddy and Mummy..great show..abit like Matrix..finished the movie with loads of time to spare and since Raphael is still not asleep, we decided to bring him to Jacob Ballas Children Garden for some water fun. Raphael is usually not afraid of strangers and will happily call out to Uncles and Aunties when we are out..but when it comes to playtime, he seems abit of a "loner"..in the playground, he will avoid the other kids or crowded area and play in his "own" corner.. He will create his own fun by either suppressing the water outlet with his hands or feet..he will also bend his head down to let the stream of water splash onto his head.. Daddy noticed this "anti-social" behaviour and guess its normal as even for adults, we also dont tend to mix with unfamiliar peers all that easily..hope when our 2nd Darling is born, Raphael will get use to the idea of having playmates..or when he starts playgroup next year, he will come home to share with us his fav frens and teachers.. Day Out With MUMMY!
Date : Laxy Saturday morning Venue : LRT\MRT (ArmaTee)  After so much chanting of MRT MRT by Raphael, Mummy decided to take MRT to Orchard on a lazy Saturday Morning. Daddy went off for work early in the morning leaving sleepy Raphael at home with Mummy. We dressed up and left home, with Raphael chanting "MRT MRT" on the way to the MRT. I guessed it was pretty long since he last had a ride on the train and he seems so fascinated by the LRT and MRT. He even refused to sit on the seat and insisted on standing and holding the railing and tell me "Ah Phael take MRT, door open! Door Closed" When we reached Dhoby Ghaut Interchange, he was so sad to leave the MRT and say "Bye Bye MRT"  So we proceed to the other line to go Somerset. Went to Herbalife office to get some Cell U Loss as my current bottle is finishing... He was again very "Gung Ho" there... Took the ticket and went reception "Jie Jie, give u" ...The lady at the cashier counter was so delighted to see him and I must say that Raphael indeed is super friendly. Even at the goods collection, he keep saying "Uncle Uncle, 出来..." (to indicate that uncle to come out)  He made a few pose for me and then settled down to take a few sips of water before up to mischief again. He went to the water dispenser and ask me to refill the water. After seeing how I press the tap to dispense more water.. He tried it on his own!! It was fun and the whole office was his voice and he started to sing! Luckily it was still early and there wasn't anyone yet Then we left for Robinson to get some present for Adam's birthday. On the way to the departmental store,he told me he wanted to take bus later... Then when we walked past Breadtalk, he told me "Mummy, Buy Cake 给阿公吃.." Can you believe it!
Rare Surname 彭 . We have been "pairing" Shaine and Raphael together since they are few months old..the similarities is of course in the eyes..both are big, round and soulful haha..Whenever we have a chance during gatherings, Daddy will make it a point to capture some shots of them together..sometimes talking, playing, and hugging each other. Last night when we received a gift from Shaine for her little sister's full month celebration, Daddy noticed the surname "Pang" on the gift letter..This caught his attention as during Daddy's school days, teachers are always unclear how to pronounce Daddy's surname "Phay" and will always pronounce as "Pang"..Guess the story always goes back to the old days when the Government clerk will anyhow enter the dialect translation into English when registering our elders  @4 months old  @2 Years Old Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

New Haircut
Occasion : Cut Hair again Venue : SuperCuts @ Compasspoint We need to trim Raphael's crowning glory every 2 months as his hair grow fast..partly also because we didnt trim till very short to maintain the "natural", "dreamy" look haha.. Raphael absolutely hates cutting hair and will scream the house down throughout the short 10mins in the salon..this stylist we loves is really skillful in trimming his locks..no shaver needed..just a comb and scissor..in the video yet to be uploaded, we can see the stylist circling Raphael..snip here..snap there..snip snip and viola!! the haircut is done.. We loves Raphael's sideburns..looks so natural after a haircut..Daddy will comment..so NICE..got cut like no cut like that! haha Same as what Daddy does to his hair when he is younger with more hair to cut..always got cut like no cut like that..the Phay Uncles will know what this mean :) We can see Raphael looks slimmer and neater after the haircut..eyes also redder after all the wailing and screaming.. Conversations with Raphael
 Its world cup final day and Raphael missed his afternoon nap as we were out whole afternoon window shopping in Takashimaya..We allows Raphael to wander at his wishes in Taka and he sure knows how to explore..one of his favourite activity is to "hide" from us..this is actually dangerous as it means he is constantly thinking of how to get lost from us..makes Mummy follow closely behind him at all times, never to lose sight of him. Missing his afternoon nap, naturally he will be sleepy in the evening..he fall asleep from 4+ and napped till ard 9pm..in fact the whole family woke up ard this time from our nap..dinner missed, bath time delayed..strange timing..but its a lazy Sunday and WC final day..so who cares about the timing haha.. Mummy took a shower 1st and Raphael, lugging his Mickey house along followed behind..when mummy close and lock the bathroom door, Raphael bangs on it and complain saying "Mummy!! Daddy lock the door..dont let Raphael in"..so mummy had no choice but to open the door..Raphael seeing the door open, places his Mickey mouse on the floor and lie down outside the bathroom door watch "show".. When our Darling is in the mood, he can be very polite and hold a meaningful conversation..just earlier in the day in his JG class..during his snack time, he was hungry and finished his biscuits very fast..wanting more, he asked his teacher for replenishment..when he speaks to the teacher in English, the teacher tells Raphael she dont understand and wants him to repeat his request in Chinese..on mummy's prompt, he is able to converse his request in Chinese also.. Ask him how many biscuits he want, he will go "1,2,3,4,5...10"..conversation with Raphael is getting more fun and interesting these days.. Updates on Raphael
 We noticed Raphael has been very demanding lately and will cry and shout to get his ways..hope its a passing phase that he will grow out of soon..When Daddy is around, R will always single him out for blame..no matter what happens that is not to his liking, he will just say "妈咪。。看爹弟期负Ah Phael". But when Daddy is not around, he will look out for him. One morning when R is still Zzzz ,we scoop him up to go to Granny's place and in the car he faintly mumbled.."Raphael 爱Mummy".."Raphael爱Daddy"..then Daddy realised, deep in R's heart, he actually loves Daddy also haha.. Mummy will always tell Raphael "不要跑, 没有人抓你!" whenever he runs..last night when he runs out of the room to follow mummy to the kitchen..as he ran, even before mummy said anything..R repeated the words to mummy.."不要跑, 没有人抓你!" he sure knows how to listen and adapt the words we used on him to make us laugh.. He is also a "busybody"..when Mummy is preparing his milk, he will "instruct" mummy to use the bottle to make his milk..he will also help to throw his soiled daipers..lately he is more territorial..he will use whatever he can get his hands on to make a "barrier"..like pillows, soft toys and even packets of Hello Panda..he will line them up in a line and says to Daddy.."Daddy。不能进来" Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
