Gabriel - 2nd time rectal prolapse
Since the last time gabriel had rectal prolapse symptom on Saturday, he pass motion on Sunday and we waited until today before he pass motion again. We brought him to see his Paediatrician and she said its not serious at this stage since it will retracts back after awhile..
She prescribed some laxative and recommended to replace his formula with fresh milk as it encourages smoother bowel movement.
For now, we can only hope that with slight change to his diet will improve his condition. Else he will need surgery to correct this which is the last resort, but not common.
**Update on 4th May** His stool has been softer after taking lactose prescribe by the PD, we also gave him some prune juice and encourages him to pass motion more often..so far, this problem did not come back since 26th April.

Gabriel's SCARE - Rectal Prolapse
The day started normally with mummy and the kids at home while Daddy is working on Saturday..finished baking and Gabriel got "feeling" to pass motion..so mummy egg him on and after much effort, he managed to complete his big business..as mummy is wiping him clean, she noticed a small lump at his anus..mistaking it for his faeces, mummy attempted to wipe it away..Mummy on closer look realised its actually a lump of soft tissue protruding out from his anus..
Mummy was shocked as it looks like his "intestine" was drag out when passing motion..not knowing what to do, she called Daddy on the phone and just at this moment, the lump of tissue "dissapears" back into his anus and he continue playing with his water toys as usual..
Doing some research on the web, we realised this is a condition called Rectal Prolapse.. Its not serious if the tissue goes back on its own..in some cases when this is frequent, surgery may be needed..but most cases with suitable medication to soften the stool, this sympton should go away..
Mummy is still worried and brought Gabriel to our usual paediatrician for checks and was given medication to soften the stool and may even switch to fresh milk as formula could cause hard stool for some..
Hope this sympton will not come back for Gabriel...in the meantime, we can only wait and see

Spectacles craze
Daddy got a new pair of casual glass as there is a promotion at Rivervale mall..frame and Multi-coat lens for $88..the kids are fascinated about the new specs..as we are shopping in Daiso, we saw a pair of similar frame without lens and got them one each..the kids looks good in specs..especially Raphael..he looks so studious and handsome with it.

Grandpa Phay turns 65

Its a Friday and also Grandpa Phay's 65th Birthday..Daddy met his Daddy at noon for Horfun lunch followed by a foot reflexology at Serangoon Gardens..Simple "date" but meaningful way to spend time with Daddy..
The celebration is home cooked dinner as we have 5 little ones and it will be tedious to go to Restaurant..also Granny Phay is a good cook..she whipped up Fish soup and Bak Kut Teh for all and the fish soup received rave reviews from all..
Cake is a fruit Gateau from 4 Leaves which is very good..could be the cake is very fresh..sometimes cakes from other bakery tends to be dry..u can see the cream and cake as individual, the cream not holding well together..for me..that means the cake is "old" or not well put together..
This cake we had today is moist and the fruit and vanilla cream filling is just enough to hold the cake together and everyone loves it..especially the kids who keeps having seconds of the strawberrys..
An interesting event happen today when the kids are playing together..Gabriel sometimes can be over excited and happens to bump into Ian's face..Yvette is abit "angry" with Gabriel as she felt that he dunno how to behave haha..When Daddy tells her that Gabriel is still small and dont know how to play gently, Yvette says thats not an excuse and proceeded to quote me many examples like "megan is also small, she knows how to behave, Charis is also small and she knows how to behave..but Gabriel dont know.."
This yvette really knows how to argue to put her point across..guess its just the way the BOYS nature of play..Gabriel and Raphael are used to physical contact when playing..haha..

Comparison of the 2 boys at 2Y2M old
We are slowly reusing Raphael's wardrobe on Gabriel and found that the 2 boys size are roughly the same at 2Y2M old..even the hairstyle is similiar haha..lookwise, we feel that Raphael got a more innocent look while Gabriel is more mischevious..even the character is different..
One thing is for sure is that both loves to smile..
