Visit to Universal Theatre for Movie
Date : Hot and Humid Saturday in May Venue : Resort World Sentosa (Universal Studios Theatre) Daddy found out about this cartoon movie screening on every saturday of May and June from our last visit to RWS. Since its main selling point is for KIDS, we presumed it will be a noisy, rowdy affair for kids to enjoy the big screen.. We arrived at 715pm and paid $2 entrance and $3 movie pass for "KungFu Panda"..Wow..didnt know that we can actually pay $2 to enter Universal Studios without taking any rides..the place was like a scene out of the 60's movies with the deco, street props and shops facade all decorated with a 60's feel. As its nearing show time, we didnt explore much and hurried in to the theatre..the place is airconditioned and spacious.. really got a "glamorous" feel with the velvelty red carpets and curtains. Alas, we didnt get to enjoy nor finish the show as Raphael soon became uncomfortable and cried..Just as mummy brought him out, he vomited onto the CARPET!! oh no..so paiseh to trouble the staffs to clean up the mess. Seems like Raphael is not feeling too well so we decided to let him take in some fresh air and walked around the place taking more pictures. Kyoho Organic Grapes - Taiwan version
Place available : NTUC Finest at Bukit Timah Plaza Daddy chanced upon these expensive looking packaged grapes..initially he thought its going to be expensive, in the range of $20 per bunch like those sold in MeiDiya at Liang Court.. On closer look, realised the grapes cost $4.90 per prunnet here..but they are the taiwan version..looks and packaging wise, its looks like the real McCoy. Daddy bought a prunnet home to try and guess the taste..it tastes exactly like those grape flavoured gummy from Japan..the taste, sweetness are matchable..too bad its not seedless Now we realised where those Japanese grape gummy got their flavour from..For those who have been wanting to try the Japanese version but put off by the price, go for this grown in taiwan version..its a real experience for Daddy haha. Raphael taking AR-MAR-TEE (MRT or LRT)
Date : Sunday Venue : Sengkang LRT Raphael likes to go "Arr-Mar-Tee" (MRT\LRT) vvrroom..he will on and off tell us he wants to go swimming and take LRT..as its a long weekend, we have lotsa time after his JG lesson and decided to bring Raphael to take the LRT..he enjoyed himself looking out of the windows and "seducing" all the uncles and aunties by calling them out loud.. Last lesson at JG for this term
Date : Last Sunday of May Venue : JG @ Evan Road Today is the last lesson of the term and the activities today are more FUN and party like. All parents contributed some food items and Mummy bought some yummy little dessert cakes from EmiCakes. Raphael is very particular about "cleanliness" and hates people drawing on him..But today with the party mood, we "forced" him to be tattooed..吴老师 managed to coax Raphael to let her draw a train on his leg..The cat whiskers are the work of Mummy haha. Elsie and Chloe 2YO BBQ Party
Date : Last Friday of May (Evening) Venue : Park @ Elsie and Chloe House Its our 2nd birthday event of the day, the last of the May bash marathon haha..its finally Elsie and Chloe's turn, my "small" sisters haha..The weather was good for the outdoor BBQ event, bubbles, tri-cycle, and playground provided much fun for the little ones..Too bad Chloe cant join us as she is down with fever at the last min..Only left Elsie to play with Raphael. The BBQ spread is good, chic wings, satay, sausages and BEER! Daddy enjoyed himself most..One funny note though..Daddy was following behind Raphael, letting him have the freedom to wander as his wish..Initially Raphael checked back to see where is Daddy, after 2 times, he began to walk "all by himself" for a good 200-300 metres until he came to a playground.. A real "daring" boy who has no fear to wander around all by himself. Daddy and mummy need to note this and be more mindful of Raphael, never leave him alone unattended.. Twinkle with Action
Date : Sunday close to midnight Venue : Raphael's playroom Its close to midnight and you can see Raphael is still so energetic..must be the 2 bottles of Yakult he had earlier and sugar overload. Lobster For Dinner!!
Date : Sunday Family Dinner Time Venue : House in Hougang Initially thought Grandpa Phay is still fishing in Indonesia, didnt expect him to return a day earlier with great catches..The lobsters are huge and LIVE..But no lah..he didnt catch the lobsters, but bought it from the kelong in Indonesia. The fishes are his prized catch though..we will not be short of protein and omega 3 for weeks follow haha. Topics for today is happening though...Godma Yvonne had an encounter with a bully, driving a Ah Beng Hyundai Tuson SFY7885P at SengKang Blk 299C MSCP..Dinner revolves ard everyone contributing ideas how to get back at that Son of a ***** From civil suit to spread words about him amongst the aunties in the block, and of course throwing eggs at his windscreen etc.. But we being civilised people, just say say only..no illegal action one..Daddy will be on the lookout for that "thing" and get back at him using civilised words and hope he feel ashamed about making 3 little kids cry by his idiotic actions of loud horning, verbal abuse and threatening body language.. Breakfast At Mr Prata @ Evans Road
Date : Rushed Sunday Morning Venue : Mr Prata @ Evans Road Sunday morning lesson at JG is always a rush affair..no matter how hard Daddy and mummy tried to be early to enjoy a brekkie at Mr Prata, they will still end up with less than 20mins for a meal before lesson starts at 1130am. Today is no different, Mummy ordered, makan and rush off with Raphael within 15mins. Left Daddy who took his own sweet time to finish his breakfast leisurely. Resort World Sentosa Night Visit
Date : Warm and humid Thursday Night Venue : Resort World Sentosa . Since Daddy and Mummy took leave today, dont want to waste it doing nothing the whole afternoon and evening. Decided on a last minute visit to RWS since its only $4 per entry after 7pm.. . The traffic into RWS was smooth and the carpark was HUGE and confusing. Alot of works still ongoing with blockades everywhere..For 1st timer like Daddy, it was a challenge to manouvere in the carpark. . The resort was based on an open concept and only the shops are well airconditioned. The other areas are only slightly cooled as they are not enclosed. Cant imagine what it will be like in the HOT singapore weather in the afternoon. . The place was peppered with ATM Halls with kiosk from all the major banks haha..did a quick check and seems no money deposit machines was installed..meaning only can withdraw..no deposit..not meant to WIN money in Casino lor. . Raphael was so fascinated with all the bright and fanciful lights that he stops every few steps to take in the beautiful lights on the ceilings or on the floors..As he was wearing a Superman outfit, he seems to blend into the Universal concept and even had a tourist couple who requested to take a photo of Raphael :) .  At the Casino entrance..no $$ to enter .  Daddy's rare appearance .  Nice water display - Dream Lake .  The escalator leading to Hard Rock Hotel .  Standard pose with the Universal Globe . Auntie Layhoon Graduation
Date : Sunny Thursday Venue : SP Convention Centre Today is Auntie Layhoon's graduation from Singapore Polytechnic. She is also from the same school as Mummy, School of IT. However, her grades are much better than Mummy haha..GPA of over 3.5 leh.. So proud of her that she has been accepted into NTU to pursue her graduate studies..
