Phay Family Posting
Theme : Phay Family updates to the 2 Uncles overseas Its the usual Sunday family dinner at Hougang house..We are already missing Baby Caleb and Family as they are in Shanghai for their little "getaway" haha.. Dinner by Granny Phay is as usual, food for 12 pax when there is only 7 people eating..we had beehoon, yellow noodle, Kway Teow and Ee-mian horfun, a whole sweet and sour fish and a plate of salted fish tow-gay..Aiya..Forgot to take pictures to make the Uncles drool, dunno if they misses the food at home.. Yvette is a big girl lor..can talk well..she was actually describing her daily school routine to Godpa and you can see how engross she is with her well coordinated actions.. Raphael and Yvette are also able to communicate well..Raphael was holding on to a packet of hello Panda and yvette saw it..at this moment, Yvette dunno where is the hello panda kept..and dunno what yvette say to Raphael, they both went into Granny's room and came out with Yvette also holding a packet of hello panda..must be she ask raphael and he brings her there to take haha.. .Nice video of Yvette narrating her daily school routine . Outing @ Vivo
Its our Usual sunday day out and at Vivo, we actually bumped into Auntie Valerie and Damien..Lunch was delicious at the Chinese Restaurant on 3rd floor, opp Daiso.. This place is really recommended for its delicious dim sum and simple dishes like fried rice..the place is spacious and has a good view of Sentosa as we makan.. The pan fried carrot cake is especially yummy with silvers of sliced radish giving the cake a nice texture and taste.. Just next to Daiso is an interesting pet specialty shop and Raphael enjoys himself inside looking at the Dogs cutting hair and also "sayang" the little puppies behind the glasses.. After lunch, we had to fulfill our pre-lunch "promise" to Raphael by allowing him to go where he wishes and play as he desire..so he led us out of the aircon heaven and out into the open space on the 2nd floor where all the children playground is.. He drag mummy to the area for electric car and mummy had no choice but to relent as promised..even though the per ride of 5 mins cost $5!!.. We have identical rides at home, FOC one..but i think its the open space and the company of so many other children that will make it a more enjoyable ride for him..well..Daddy paid for Lunch and its mummy's turn to open her wallet.. Outing with the Elsie and Chloe
Theme : A Date with the Beautiful Twin Sister Today is Raphael's makeup lesson for last week's missed..We are in the same Saturday class with Elsie and Chloe..The class is less crowded than our usual Sunday morning lesson.. After lesson, we have a date at Down Town East for dinner and bowling session..Raphael is planning to show off his bowling skills to impress the girls..but guess they are not that impressed and they are infact "afraid" of the game and only allow Mummy Shara and Daddy Hui to throw the balls on their behalf..  The 3 Beautys....  Can you guess who is Elsie and Who is Chloe?  This is Chloe..Salute or "use your brain leh" ?? Chloe's 1 YO Celebration
Occasion : Chloe's 1 YO Bash at Mind Cafe What a novel place for a 1 Year Old's bash..Food served is modern Italian and the brownies are nice!! There are many board games to keep Raphael occupied also..infact, so interesting that Raphael kept insisting on playing and almost dun want to leave when the event ended.. Marina Bay Sands
Occasion - Visit Mummy at Work . Its Sunday and Mummy is at work for her company's annual invest Fair..Used to be held at Suntec, this year it was changed to Marina Bay Convention Centre..seems this is the "IN" place to be seen and heard nowadays..even with the inconvenience of no direct MRT, the place is still packed with people.. . All the shoppes here are oh soo high class..IWC, Breguet and on and on..all with security guards or staff standing at the entrance..really can only window shop here.. .. Macau Venetian got a Vienna style river with dunno what boat service ferried by imported Angmos..MBS has a Singapore river with Sampans ferried by locals..guess ours is more authentic..but Daddy find the "river" too clean haha..shld have some plastic bottles then feels like the real thing. . After this outing, Raphael's cough and fever became worst and got so bad that we brought him for his 2nd consultation late at night..pray Raphael get well soon. .  .  .  . Raphael recovered from his Fever!

Making Sense of the World in Words
Theme : Raphael's Improving Vocabulary   Raphael has been down with fever and cough since last Thursday and after 3 visits to a PD, GP then PD again, he is finally recovering..The past few days has been mentally challenging and physically taxing, especially on Mummy whose heart breaks to see Raphael suffering the effects of a high fever. When his temp reaches 39 degrees, we can feel him shivering and he is so lethargic that he can hardly speak..its a world of difference compared to the usual bubbly and playful Raphael. Anyway, all's well now that he is recovering and last night, he is back to his usual playful self..His vocabulary is improving and the new skill that he picked up is making sense of the words he knows and uses them correctly when conversing with us. The 1st time was when we are at the GP and Mummy, feeling the effects of her sinus also consulted the Doctor..The Doc took mummy's blood pressure and as he remove the "cloth" wrapped around mummy's arm, Raphael exclaimed "Mummy 看完Doctor了..Yeah!!"..He can relate the removing of the cloth as mummy finished her consultation.. On Tuesday morning, due to the high fever, he actually fall asleep quite early ard 10pm the previous night and mummy sponged him and woke up every 2 hrs to take him temp..and his fever went down gradually over the night..at ard 5am, he suddenly wakes up and must be feeling good as his fever is gone..he actually wakes mummy up from her slumber and exclaim again "Raphael 生病好了..Yeah (with arms in the air)!!" When mummy relates this "incident" to Daddy, we cant help but be amazed by his vocab and grapsing of the meaning. The creme-la-creme was on Tuesday night..his fever is gone but mummy still takes his reading every 2 hourly as a precaution..After mummy finishes taking his temp, he turns to face Mummy and said "Mummy..Ah Phael生病好了。。谢谢 Mummy 照顾 Ah Phael" and hugs her.. This sentence really surprises us BIG TIME!! Meaning all mummy's effort and sacrifices are not lost on him..He actually knows how to appreciate mummy's effort and this really made her day.. Caleb's Turns 1/12 months old
Occasion - Caleb's Full Month Celebration Caleb celebrated his Full month on 22nd Aug, 3 days before his actual day..the house was so jam packed with relatives its almost like CNY..but caleb is very well behaved and didnt mind the crowd..even when we was passed around from one Aunt to another, he still remained calm and even smiled at funny faces :) Guess he got his Dad's genes..a guy comfortable with attention and smooth talker when he grows up :p Raphael is having a slight cough thats why we dont dare let him play too much with the rest of the kids..he spend most of his time walking with Grandpa Teo at the void deck haha..like self exile like that.. Baby Ian is also another attraction for the Aunties with his straight face..abit narrowed eye brows haha..Yvette is oh sooo Pretty..so demure and soo shy when with unfamiliar faces around here..Matthias is soo cute too..will shake his head to indicate "nonono" Raphael actually likes playing with Matthias as they sat on the floor facing each other and roll the coloured paper ball to each other.. 27th Month, 15.6Kg, 97Percentile!!!
Raphael is SICK Our little darling is no longer a little baby lor! He is now a big active toddler! Last night we brought him to the PD as he is having mild fever and cough...So decided to see a PD before it gets worst... The surprising thing is that Raphael seems to be able to accept the PD at Tiong Bahru without kicking up a big fuss..Maybe Dr Edmund Koh is very good at "bribing" Raphael with biscuits and toys... From the normal loud and heart piercing cries to the unusual laughter and conversations from Raphael to DR.... hmmm..I cannot help thinking is this due to the PD or Raphael had grown up? We also tried to role play with him before the visit and tell him its mummy who is seeing DR..and that Raphael needs to show mummy how to see DR..haha..so when the DR wants to take his temp in the ear and see his throat, he will pretend to do the same thing on Mummy and Raphael will readily accept it when the DR does the same on him. His weight had been a major concern to us and we always feel that he is overweight and worried that he be obesed! Dr assured us that Raphael is of healthy weight...97percentile and good! Bowling
Occasion : Bowling at DownTown East Day off for both Mummy and Daddy, after seeing so many facebook postings of this place, we decided to bring Raphael here to let him enjoy bowling. We have a plastic set at home and Raphael loves to cheat by standing infront of the pins and fall them at close range..but here, he cant do that and need to do it from far..he seems to grasp the rules and will attempt to push the ball with as much strength as possible.. Below are some of the moments we captured as we pushes the ball off the line..He even patiently squat at the line seeing the ball slowly roll down the lane and hit the pins..He seems to be anticipating the moment it strikes the pins haha  Licking his lips, anticipating a good strike  Walking to bowl  Rooolll!! Raphael and Rayden - Brothers
The 2 little ones R & R shared alot of Brotherly moments during the Phuket trip and we captured lotsa cute moments..from holding hands to "cosying" up together.. When we are waiting for the flight back, the 2 actually raced in the airport..they will both squat down and Daddy will count 1..2..and Raphael being Kiasu, will run off on 2 and not 3 haha..really funny seeing them play together.  Seated side by side..the difference in "quantity" and "mass" is very obvious  Can you tell who is older? haha  The 2 sleepyheads after a long day  Holding hands while shopping, Whats on Raphael's hand? always munching away  Raphael ACT CUTE..which is really CUTE. Phuket Trip
Occasion : Phuket 3D2N Getaway This is a loong planned trip and we have been eargerly awaiting it for ages haha..Thailand's islands holds good memories for Daddy and Mummy as they went to Samui for honeymoon haha..Really misses the food and massage there.. Phuket is a more commercialised place compared to Samui, with large shopping centres and hotels..definitely more expensive compared to Bangkok as its tourist centric. The 2 darlings Raphael and Rayden spend so much time together that they grows attached during the 3D2N..they will hold each other's hands and sit together..Raphael is more "cold" compared to the passionate Rayden.. Rayden will initate to hold Raphael's hands and at one stage, Raphael actually complain to mummy that he cannot loosen his fingers from Rayden's grab haha.. They also loves the pool where the water just reaches their chest and gives them sufficient bouyancy while allowing them to touch the floor..Raphael loves to hold the float and rest his faces on it and "swims" ard the pool.
