Welcome Gabriel to the Family!!
its early in the morning on 26th jan 2011 and just as the family is sound asleep, gabriel decided to start his journey into our world..mummy's water bag burst at 235am and awoke daddy..as we expected this moment anytime, daddy and mummy actually was calm and collected..bags are packed and checked..raphael scooped up from his bed and off we go to deposit raphael at grandma Teo's place before we make our way to Mount Elizabeth hospital for admission. we reach at 0350am and the place is deserted..we are the 1st delivery of the day in the hospital..mummy was immediately placed on drip and wired up for monitoring of contraction..by 6am, she is administered epidural and the wait starts..unlike raphael's pregnancy, this time round the dilation was fast..by 8am she is 10cm dilated and Gynae decided to start the labour process and after 5 rounds of pushing by mummy, baby Gabriel is born at 0818am.. he weighs 3.680kg and measures 52cm in height at birth..he is comparable to raphael and they both also looks the identical haha..  all wired up to monitor contraction  contraction chart  experiencing pain..great mother  gabriel is born at 0818am on 26th jan 2011  5 mins old  good weight  1st foorprint  wide awake and alert from birth  crying loud to clear his lungs  a relieved smile  granny teo with gabriel  auntie poh eng and angie visit  auntie layhoon and shuching visit  auntie rovena visit  layhoon yiyi and shawn kor kor  ana, hazel and albert's well wishes      our handsome boy  see the similarities and difference between the 2 boys Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Gabriel at week 39
Its 9 more days to end of Tiger and hello Rabbit..and Gabriel could be either one..Dr kek checked and found mummy is 2cm dilated and Gabriel's head is in position..infact Mummy is ready to go into labour anytime..but the decision is to let nature take its course and so the waiting game continues.. Raphael has been a real handful lately, really sticky to mummy and protective..cant wait to see if he will really be a big brother to Gabriel or will he continue to be a naughty and cheeky little boy.. Really hope Gabriel will tahan until Rabbit year so that mummy can still enjoy the cny goodies before confinement..but if he chooses to be a little tigger..we also dun mind spending the cny in hospital to welcome him into our family Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Eagerly Awaiting Gabriel's Arrival
How time flies, Mummy is into her 38th week of the pregnancy and we have a feeling that he is due anytime..Gabriel is weighing 3.1 kg during the last checkup on the 8th Jan 2011..Good weight..we think he should be able to match Raphael's birth weight of 3.565kg Mummy's bag is all packed, admittance form is also filled up. 24th Jan will be the next checkup date where we will also do the pre-admittance registration. Raphael has been very "sticky" to mummy for the past month..we think he can sense that Gabriel is arriving soon and demands 100% attention from mummy.. Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Sweet Sides of Raphael
 From Mummy Yesterday I was siting at the sofa, with Raphael happily munching the Digestive biscuits beside me...I was abit hungry coz still waiting for Daddy to tabao dinner back for us... So I make a comment that the biscuit smells so nice... I wished to take a bite in chinese "哇好香叻。。。好想吃一口饼干！！" Raphael immediately jumps off the sofa and walk to my mum and tell her to give him 1 piece of digestive as I am hungry and wish to eat in chinese "Ah Ma! 给我一片饼干。。Mummy 讲她很想吃。。她饿饿了。。快点!!" Then he passed that to me to eat... As i was eating..feel so touched by his small gesture...Some may feel that its nothing..but to me... It is something heartwarming... He is soooo detailed and attentive! Then this morning, when I reached my mum's place, he was awake. So when I was going toilet, he again insist to follow me. Usually if I lock the toilet door before he is able to get inside with me, he will bang and cry outside... Today, since he followed me so closely, no chance to lock it. He told my mum "你不可以进来啊。。锁门了。。。" I told him its slippery and not to move about. As usual, he stand at a corner, watching me, smiling away. No playing with water, just quietly standing there... I came to realised...Maybe he is not being naughty to want to be inside, maybe he got another objective...which is to ensure I am all safe and sound and will not slip and fall inside... This may sound ridiculous as how can a 2.5YO kid knows this? But how do we explain him wanting to be inside and yet he is not playing around or meddling with the stuffs inside the toilet? He is just simply waiting for me to be done, then followed me out as if he accomplished a task... It seems to start since I am pregnant with #2 Gabriel... before that I do not recall him being so "caring", wanting to go into the cubicle itself with me... Next observation was whenever I am vomitting due to the gastric reflux and bad heartburn, he will always insist to be around... He will be the first to rush to the toilet and ask me repeatedly am I OK or not, while Daddy will take mins to appear before me haha.. "Mummy 你OK 吗。。? 真的啊?" Then try to pat my back...No matter how hard I ask him to go out as I feel its digusting to watch people puking..He will tell me : "No Problem....没问题。。。" and waited patiently for me to be done.. At times he will pulled toilet paper for me to wipe when i am done...Then followed me out and look at me with those tender loving eyes... What a Darling! Raphael's Innocent Conversation
I know that the porridge I cooked cannot meet my darling Raphael's standard... But never did I expect this response from Raphael last nite when we were on the car Raphael : "妈咪..我饿饿了。。我要吃 Ah Ma 煮的Porridge。。。妈咪煮的 porridge 不好吃。。。Ah Ma 煮 的很好吃“ I was shock and taken aback...wah... i knew he never like to eat the porridge I cooked..but to say such things...sob... so i "challenge" him by saying that next time Grandma may not be able to cook for him...then how? Dinner at GrassRoot Club @ Yio Chu Kang
Its a joyous occassion as Grandpa Phay is bery good luck over the week and thus treated us to a sumptuous dinner at Gim Tim Imperial Sharksfin Restaurant at the Grassroot club. We settled for Set A initially, then just before dinner..grandpa Phay again bery good luck..so we upgraded to Set B :p Food was good, close 2 eyes about the small table and typical noisy ambience complete with Happy Birthday song over the speakers..Dinner lasted over 2 hrs as its a all 自己人 affair, so we chatted over dinner and 2hrs seems to pass in a flash. Raphael's preference for food is so opposite of Ian..Raphael only drinks his ice water and his cheezels snack..Ian eats practically everything on the table, even the sharksfin soup which is really delicious. 1st day in playgroup
its 4th Jan and its a milestones for these 2 little Phays..Raphael starting his Apple Tree playgroup and Yvette her nursery at St Anne church..both mummy and daddy took leave to accompany our little raphael to school..what makes this a milestone is that unlike kindermusik and julia gabriel, parents are not allowed in the class, which we cant imagine how can raphael possibly adapt..he is really sticky to mummy and such a timid boy.. well, today is daddy who accompany raphael into the class as we are allowed to for 1st week to let the kid accustomise..but even with daddy in the class, raphael still cried for 1st 45mins before settling down..he was distracted by a balloon in the class and managed to pacify him using that. the next 45mins went well as he engaged in colouring, singing and other classroom activities.. time flies and soon the 1 1/2 hrs is up and lesson ends for the day..tom will be mummy's turn and we guess it will be easier as with mummy around, raphael will feel at ease..but what if both of us are not around? dont dare to imagine how will the teacher be able to handle a crying raphael..he can be a real cry baby haha.. before lesson, yvette jie jie dropped by to visit her Alma mater and wow...her school uniform is so nice..  all geared up and walking to school  after lesson, a cheezels for a treat .  .   yvette in her uniform  Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts

Little Rocker Star in the Making
Theme : Rocker Raphael Strumming Guitar Over Xmas period, while shopping at ToysRus, we chanced upon this little guitar and finds it interesting. Partly due to Raphael is also interested in guitar as his Fav teacher in Julia Gabriel plays it well and he is always captivated whenever his teacher plays it. Sure enough, on this particular night, he picked up the guitar and started to strum it according to his own rhythm and sing along..from the video, you can see how engross he is..his singing is loud and clear with his own guitar tune in the background..
