The 2 boys moments
The 2 brothers really looks so alike, or rather Gabriel looks like Raphael when he is his age..Gabriel's soulful eyes are soo memerizing while Raphael's bubbly character never fails to makes us laugh and amazed at how can he knows soo much.. His speech is sooo mummy..as in he learns his speech habit from mummy..when he fails to get things he wants after pleading, he will go "哎呀! 算了啦..算了啦.."meaning to forget about what he ask. there is one night when he is lying besides mummy playing his iphone when he turns around and ask mummy why is she not expressing her milk..Mummy commented that she will do it later, and Raphael tells her if she dont express, it will become soo big that he wont have space to sleep! haha..Mummy was like :S Raphael is weighing 20.5kg as you can see his size in the pictures..but he also grown taller..standing at 103cm..we really cant "hide" him anymore..need to buy a transitlink card for him liao.. Raphael's Gear when going out
Fashion sense is what Raphael lacks haha..as parents, we buy the clothes and accessories for him..but he chooses what to bring when he goes out..and sometimes his dressing sense and the gears he insist on bringing along can be hilarious, or very "auntie"..he will not feel shy about wearing his helmet out..he will call himself a name of the character he had in mind and dress along.. Actually he has a reason for carrying what you see in the pictures..on the day we are going to Grandpa Teo's house, raphael packed his bag full of lego blocks and the empty container is to hold them..he also insist to pack his iPad2 whenever he goes out..  raphael dressed as "soldier", but why the empty container? Raphael's new hobby - Cut Hair
Raphael overcame his fear of cutting hair 6 months back..and he never look back since haha..since then, he has been having his haircut almost once a month..and he actually enjoys the attention of the people around him fussing over him.. he is also a vain pot..he will tell the stylist not to cut Botak (bald) many times during the session..he will also keep peering up to steal a glance at himself to ensure all is well on top :) The occassion, we are at curly and spike for Gabriel's 1st haircut..seeing Gabriel having his cut, he requested to mummy to cut his own hair also..but he dont want botak one..Daddy initially was reluctant as it cost $27! to cut a child's hair..but on his repeated request, mummy tells Daddy.."钱赚来就是要花的" woohoo..mummy open mouth liao..daddy of course no objection again..(Must emphasized when it comes to Raphael's Request, as long as its within Mummy's $$ Capabilities, she will go all the way to fulfilled it.. AT MOST I PAY LOR!!) for this time round, we decided on something funky and short for raphael..we tell the stylist and let him create his own style for raphael..and the end result is Fantastic..this boy can also carry off a short hairstlye..handsome boy lor..  moody before the haircut  getting his left side cropped short  having his right cut short also  fringe is shorten to create the funky look  almost complete..mohawk style  styling his new style  appreciative smile  observing how his hair is being styled    Completed..Introducing Raphael's new hairstlye  Newer Posts <- -> Older Posts
Gabriel's Haircut @ 4 months old
We walked into Curly and Spike last weekend and was disappointed as we were turned away due to all appointments are full for the day..mummy learnt her lesson and booked an appt this weekend instead..never knew its still so popular after our last visit 3 years back to cut raphael's hair for the 1st time.. Daddy is reluctant to pay so much to cut so little for Gabriel, but mummy wanted to be "fair" to both son, and she is paying for it..so daddy has no reasons to object anymore haha  before trimming, already so little hair.. .  trimming in progress .  final product...still no hair, but neater haha..and more handsome .  his hair is quite thick..abit curly .  . Raphael learns to COUNT
Raphael knows how to count from 1-10 some time back..but he hardly progress to more than 13 as he will get distracted and count wrongly on purpose. today mummy passed him a number book and with 2 crayon in hand, he actually patiently started counting from 1 to 17 (seventeen) correctly..we didnt managed to capture the "correct" video but instead got this "wrong" demonstration video of him..noticed that he likes SeVeNteEeen alot..his counting is punctuated by seventeeen...seventeeeen...Loves the last part when he finished counting eleveeen and he goes YEEAH! Raphael is "Bob the Builder"
Daddy has gone wardrobe mad over the weekend and bought 2 wardrobes from Ikea on Saturday and Sunday night..we noticed that the house has too many stacks of folded clothes lying all over the place with no proper storage space..u need to see the amount of clothes mummy bought for Raphael and Gabriel to believe the quantity.. Anyway, the main purpose of this post is actually about Raphael our little engineer..on Saturday night, he is soo excited when daddy is busy fixing the wardrobe..he grabs a small allen key and screw and started to help out..his way of "helping" is to poke the screws into whatever holes he see on the wooden board..this makes daddy angry as he is scratching the surface..but of course Daddy appreciates his effort and intention to help out in his own little way..therefore daddy refrain from "scolding" him but on occassions when he overdo it by actually forcing the screws in, daddy will lose his cool and scold him..Raphael on hearing daddy raise his voice will respond by saying "sorry sorry"..you should see his expression when saying this..makes daddy's heart melt and will immediately feels bad about scolding our little engineer.   This process of "Raphael stop it" and "sorry sorry" repeats from 11pm-3am..yes..Raphael didnt sleep and insisted on helping daddy until 3am..When the wardrobe is up and daddy places the drawer in one by one, Raphael will say "Good Job!" for every drawer that we insert.. On the 2nd night, same process repeats but this time round, maybe Daddy is more harsh and Raphael on many occassion drops his tools and went into the room with Mummy and "cried" by crouching facedown on the floor and says Daddy scold him..Mummy will ask him to go help out again but he will says dont want as Daddy will scold.. Daddy of course regrets again and try to coax our little engineer out again to let him build confidence and also sense of pride. Taking about sense of pride, on Sunday morning when Mummy's friend drops by to collect some stuffs. Raphael grabs her by the hand and bring her to see the cabinet in the living room..telling her that its made by him..and he is sooo proud when he said that.. Daddy is soooo guilty that he scolded Rapahel when he helped him to fix the cabinet, after work on Monday daddy went to buy a tool set for him..he really enjoys the tools, especially the hammer haha.. Gabriel is conscious of his surrounding at 4 months old
On this sunday 12th June, we confirm that Gabriel is getting conscious of the people and environment around him. he used to be comfortable in anyone's company or place..but today when we brought him to Aunt theresa's place, he can sense the unfamiliar environment and voice around him and cried..we guess partly its due to him needing some sleep thus cranky..but surely he is conscious of his surrounding. Gabriel at 18 weeks old
Gabriel is 18 weeks old now..recent milestones includes sitting up straight with support..his neck is very stable now and can hold his head in an upright position for long period. He is also very observant and vocal..he is able to make "shouting" noise like "arrgh" to attract attention or to voice his discontent.. his hair is also thinning and left patches here and there..we will be bring him to the same children salon at UE2 soon to trim his hair.. Oh ya..Rapahel is starting to allow Gabriel to share his stuffs..like Gabriel is allowed to sleep on his thomas bed when prev he will never allows..also last night, Raphael actually climb onto his thomas bed and sleep on it on his own accord..haha..maybe he is afraid if he dont sleep in it, Gabriel will take over. Raphael is also involving Gabriel in his play routine more frequently..or rather he treat Gab as his play object..like in the picture below, he will "climb" on top of Gab and put forehead to forehead..Gab will squeak when Raph does this..its really heartwarming to see the elder one starting to accept the younger.. .   .  .  .  snuggling together .  sharing his bed .
