17th May 2012, its Raphael's meet the parent session at his school and mummy specially took AM off to accompany this boy to school..he is very excited but at the same time he is very cautious about the reason the teacher wants to see mummy..
He keep asking mummy not to tell his teachers about his naughty antics at home..he seems to be very concern about his "image" infront of his teachers.
The teacher是 feedback that Raphael is an outgoing and outspoken boy..he likes to relate his daily doings to his classmates and teachers..and he is not reserved and will readily talk to his classmate's guardian, behaving and talking like an adult..
He is learning well, strongest in his conversational chinese and able to count and write up to 18..
he is also able to translate Chinese to English, like Capsicum = 灯笼僬
Overall, he is progressing well with good learning abilities..Well done Raphael

Gabriel loves his food..Ho Jiak
Granny Phay has been teaching Gabriel how to pronounce "Ho Jiak" meaning yummy in Teochew..we think he understands the meaning and whenever he sees food, he will goo "Ho Jiak"!!
We did an experiment by taking him to Giant@Tampines we walk along the electronics section and he curiously observes the surrounding..but when we reaches the canned food, dry food section, he will immediately goes "Ho Jiak" and keep pointing to the shevles..he seems to have a sensitive sense for food..
Listen to him eating roti kaya and goes "Ho Jiak"!!

Charis Phay's Update
Charis is 9 days old at time of posting..this video is our favourite as it shows how our "Giant" caleb actually can be soo gentle with little Charis..see his hands sayang-ing Charis..like to gentle not wanting to alarm her..

MAY! its always a busy but fun month as all the April\May babies of yesterday celebrates their turning 4 years old..We have countless of parties to attend and although we tried our best to attend all, we will still miss some due to schedule clash, children not feeling well etc..

Raphael's 4YO School Celebration
This is Raphael's actual birthday celebration at his school..we were told by the teacher to bring the cake to school before the assembly so that the school can sing a song for Raphael..we didnt hear wrongly..its the WHOLE SCHOOL haha..
Raphael was made to stand infront of the school and announce his name, class and age to all the pupils..and he calmly and clearly said "I am Raphael Phay from Joy B..I am four years old"
Daddy and Mummy feels so proud of our little boy..being able to say that infront of soo many children..
After that, he blushes while the school sang a birthday song for him before dismissal..his class stayed behind to pose for class photo..this is soo memorable for both Raphael and us..

Our "new" bed
When we bought our bed during newly wed, we feel that a queen size would do..then 3 years later with Raphael added, we felt a king would be better..3 more years passed and with Gabriel, even a King will not be enuff haha..
For the past 2 years, we have been sleeping together as a family in the Children's playroom which is carpeted..simply using a foldable mattress and we have abundance of space to sleep..
But sleeping on a full spring mattress definitely beats a hard carpeted floor, and rather than throwing away our queen (cost $2.5K) and get a king (cost another $3.5K), we simply did some "research" and decided to get a simple single bedframe and mattress from Ikea to extend our existing bed..the idea came from our countless hotel staycation where we combine 2 super single into a extra large bed..
the end result is what we get as shown below, a bed bigger than a King..and it only cost us total $400 including bedsheet haha..although it doesnt look "Glam"..but with 2 kids fighting to squeeze in between us daily, this new bed definitely is a welcome relief..Raphael has his own corner and Gabriel can sleep safely and spaciously inbetween us..

Raphael's 4YO Celebration at Go-go-Bambini
We celebrated Raphael's 4YO on the 29th April Sunday (Actual day on 3rd May Thursday) at Go-go-Bambini at Dempsey hill..this has been his favourite playground since we 1st tried it out 2 years back..so this year rather than have the usual gathering at our home, we decided to hold the celebration here for the kids...
The guest list (in consultation with Raphael) consist of his playgroup, current Nursery, his May buddies and Mummy's colleagues kids...
Its not hard to notice that the majority of his guest are girls haha..when we ask him who he wants to invite..names like Ananya, Lorelle, Shane, Kaydence, Isabelle, Meinu surfaces..its seems to be all girls..
The party promptly started at 1pm and the kids had a great time in the playground and games followed by Cake cutting and feasting session..
Raphael enjoyed himself throughly and thanks to all Uncle, Aunties whose effort on a Sunday made it all possible..and also the many presents that Raphael receives..

Welcome Charis Phay
Its Monday 30th April and we have been eagerly awaiting for the arrival of Little Charis Phay into our family..As Brandon and family are based in Shanghai, we can only "participate" in this joyous occassion via Whatsapp..
Early in the morning, we have been getting "live" updates from the sinister looking Daddy to be again and approx 9am SGT we gotten news that Charis is born..the 1st photo of her is ard 20-30mins old..and we can see her good fortune ears..:)
The subsequent photos from facebook shows that she is getting "pinker" and her features are shaping out well..the common question "will she look like Daddy? or Mummy?"
From my point of view, I feel that Charis looks more like Daddy (Brandon)..
Grandpa and Grandma Phay are flying over at end May to celebrate Charis's full month..for the rest of the family, we can only wait until next CNY before we can get to hug and kiss her..
