Sand play at Sentosa

Daddy took off from work today after working through the fathers day weekend. The plan is to bring Raphael and Gabriel to Sentosa for sand play. We decided to set off early to send mummy to Harbourfront for work and had Mac breakfast before reaching Palawan beach at 9am.
The place is deserted on a weekday morning as expected. We set up our floor mat and beach umbrella and took out the sand tools. It's a nice weather for sand play. The sand is fine and smooth. The water is calm (as its a lagoon) and invitingly clear (not crystal but better than east coast)
Daddy after finishing his conference call at 1030 joined Raphael in the water. Raphael dare not venture too deep into the water but an "incident" touched daddy's heart. Daddy pretended to struggle and shout to Raphael for help. Raphael without fear ran into the water. Daddy seeing him walked into water knee deep, waist deep and expect him to stop. But Raphael continued walking and soon it's chest then neck deep. He seems fearless and only concerned about daddy struggling in the water and at one point the water reaches his mouth and nose. Daddy seeing this immediately rush forward to hold him up in the water. Raphael at this moment cried on choking on the sea water and blamed daddy for not rescuing him earlier. But daddy is so touched to see him "sacrificing" himself even though he don't know how to swim.

Raphael movie with Mummy
Mummy day alone with Raphael..brought him out for Madagascar 3 and indulge him on his favourite food, "manicure", arcade games..while Gabriel is at home..
The boy is always soo attention seeking..insist on bringing his machine gun and helmet out..and he wore this throughout the journey from Sengkang home to NEX mall..OMG..mummy must be soo paiseh..

Zoo Outing
Mummy is having her 1 week break from work and the family planned an outing to the Zoo on Raphael's request..he told us that his teacher says they must visit the Zoo on their month long holidays..
We planned to start the day early at 8am, but still ended up reaching only at 10am haha..before entering the zoo, we had a traditional breakfast of kaya toast and half boiled eggs with kopi and milo..
The weather was hot and humid although its not sunny..there was period of slight drizzle, providing a much needed relief from the heat..
But Poor Gabriel, he is too young to appreciate the trip and yet need to "suffer" in the hot humid weather..
We covered the whole zoo on foot, tram and ferry..making the entrance fee worthwhile..
we finally left the zoo at close to 4pm, spending a total of 6 hours there..

Vivo with Grandma Teo
Rare occassion that Grandma Teo is free on a Sunday due to the market undergoing renovation..so mummy brought her to vivo for lunch and bonding time with the kids..Layhoon Yeeyee and Shawn Ah Gu joined as well.
The kids enjoying the cool comfort of the mall as its sweltering hot outside..we think its min 35 degrees outside and the concrete floor must be min 45 degrees..
Raphael took off his shoes and ran around the water fountain..however he "accidentally" step out of the wet area onto the hot concrete slab and panicked when he felt the hot surface on his bare foot..not knowing where to run to, he cried on the spot..guess the floor is really scorching hot..
Poor boy..but he recovered after a while to take the bumper car ride which cost mummy $6 for 6mins..

Shanghai Phay Updates
Brandon and Family is scheduled to come back for a 3 weeks holiday in Sept..and this will be the 1st time we get to see, carry and hug Charis..the new darling gal of the Phay family..soo looking forward to it...
Last week Caleb got bitten by an insect in school and his ears swell to almost double..remind me of the chinese folktale the TEN brothers (Shi Xiong Di) :P
Luckily the swell subsides fully within 3 days..

Visting Gabriel's Godpa and Godma
An exciting Sunday for the kids..we had a Thomas the train movie session in the morning followed by a visit to Gabriel's GodParents place for a pool session and a leisure afternoon..

Its a non working weekend for Daddy and the family set out early to Cheong Robinson Sale at Raffles City..had a nice breakfast of BK at Suntec (empty compared to other suburban mall) before strolling over to City Hall..
We took the new underpass Mall linking Suntec to City Hall and mummy is so mountain tortoise..never see this new underpass before..
Got good bargains in Robinson and chanced upon the Lego Land exibition, Rapahel spotted it 1st and shouted excitedly..so we spend some time exploring and taking pictures with LEGO..
