Misc Pictures of our 2 Prince Charming
With Mummy also owning a Fuji X10 camera..we find ourselves taking even more pictures of the kids..and whats the point of taking so much pictures if we dont post it for our viewing pleasure..
With Digital photography, alot of nice pictures are just archived, never to be viewed again..so Daddy is making an effort to select and publish them..it allows us to revisit such memories of the kids as they slowly grows up..

Celebrating Caleb's 2YO
15th July 2012
Caleb is back for 1 week plus for "home" leave haha..we took this chance to celebrate his 2YO for him at our house..the kids had a good time playing, especially with the pool table..even Gabriel also knows how to use the cue stick to poke the ball haha..

East Coast Park Outing
Date : 8th July 2012
We have been going to the beach lately..East Coast Park, Sentosa, Pasir Ris..Its free and we get to enjoy the wind, sand and sea..Raphael loves the sand and will use his bare hands to dig into the sand..
Gabriel? he is afraid of the sand..to the extend when is is standing on sand on his barefoot, he will actually cry..if he wears shoe, he will stand rooted to the spot..
On this outing, we actually sees Raphael carry Gabriel from the sand onto the grass patch..
We walked and Raphael cycled for a full 3-4km..mummy had a good workout..think the last time she actually exercised is more than 4 years ago..

Importance of a PROMISE
An incident today left Daddy deeply apolegetic to Raphael..its all about keeping one's promise..
Last night Daddy told Mummy that he will be on leave tomorrow..Raphael overheard and ask Daddy if he can pick him up from school tomorrow..Daddy just replied OK without giving much serious thought.
Apparently our little Darling Raphael took this promise seriously..very serious indeed..
The next day, daddy sent mummy to work and run some errands..the thought of going to fetch Raphael did cross his mind..but its more like wanting to give Raphael a surprise rather then keeping his "promise"
In the end, daddy opted to go for a foot reflexology instead..feeling guilty for not spending more time with the kids on his off day, Daddy decided against watching a movie and rushed home in time to receive Raphael as he alights from his schoolbus.
Intially wanted to surprise him, but when Raphael sees Daddy..he burst into tears and cried..Daddy is shocked on seeing this and thought something bad happened to him..Only when the Bus attendant related what happened to Daddy did he realised he is the cause of Raphael's emotion outburst.
Apparently Raphael remembered the "promise" that Daddy will pick him up from school and inform the teacher about it..So the teacher brought him to the main gate to wait..when Daddy didnt show up, the teacher brought Raphael to the waiting school bus..he is very angry and cried once on boarding the bus (Daddy felt soo guilty to have caused such "hurt" to Raphael at that moment when he realised Daddy is not there to pick him up)
Knowing the reason for his outburst at seeing Daddy at home, Daddy immediately made plans to make up to him..Decided to bring him to Sentosa to play sand and water since he loves the beach..so without changing out of his uniform, we made our way to the nice Tanjong beach at Sentosa with our usual barang of mat and beach umbrella.
Daddy had a relaxing 2 hours by the beach while Raphael entertains himself..
A promise is a PROMISE to a kid..they takes it seriously..so always keep one made to a kid.
Daddy learnt it the hard way..and hurt our precious one's heart..Daddy also got a "lecture" from mummy..

Updates on the 2 Phay Brothers
The kids are mixing and getting along well..especially Gabriel and his Yvette jie jie..he absolutely adores yvette and so does she haha..he will always takes yvette's photo and show to everyone when yvette is not at Grandma's house..
Raphael..he is watching too much cartoon, esp Madagascar..its almost impossible to take a nice picture of him..whenever he knows his picture is being taken, he will make all sorts of funny expressions..saying he learnt it from the Lion and Zebra in Madagascar..OMG..
Yvette and Ian will be going to Canada in July till next Chinese New Year..the kids will definitely miss each other during this long absence..the parents just needs to be more diligent to tango, facebook to let the kids be aware of each other..its important that they be close to each other as cousins.

Caleb and Charis at Shanghai
Been getting updates of the 2 little kids in Shanghai using Whatsapp and Facebook..Caleb is attending day school..mixing with lots of expatriate kids..lets see when he is back, will he speak in Angmo or China accent haha..
Caleb will be coming back for a "holiday" with his Daddy in Mid July..looking forward to seeing him..as for Charis, we will only get to see and carry her in Sept..

Staycation at The Sentosa Spa and Resort
This is a long awaited weekend getaway for Daddy..work has been taxing and draining..its also to celebrate Daddy's big 34..We checked into The Sentosa Spa and Resort Hotel and after breakfast at Evan Road's Hatched (a cafe famous for its Egg themed breakfast, over-rated though in my personal opinion)
Stepping into the compound of the resort, one cant help but be amazed by big and well maintained landscape that seems blended with the nature surrounding the place..Peacocks roam freely here..
Raphael mark a major milestone at the resort's pool..he is confident to "swim" alone with the float for the 1st time..at the end of the swim, he is totally comfortable in the water and even tried alot of different "stunts" under the watchful eyes of Daddy and Mummy..at least he is not afraid of the water..next on will be to teach him to swim..
Gabriel our little BIG EATER just spends most of him time eating away..he is happy so long as food is near..but this little boy just dont seems to put on much weight..definitely not Daddy's genes..
