Visit To LegoLand Malaysia

Weather : Sunny, Super Hot..Buay Tahan type of HOT
Been looking forward to this day as its the 1st time Daddy is driving venturing outside Singapore..Off Days, weekends are usually spend between Vivo, Orchard and Suntec (Golden Triangle)..with this milestone..our "world" just got bigger..Malaysia Big..
We set off late around 815am as we overslept, although the night before we made a grand plan to set off early at 7.30am for breakfast..we cleared Tuas Checkpoint within 5mins and off we go towards Malaysia!!
We know that after the toll station, we will hit straight until Exit 312..sounds easy enough..but the confusing part is there is an Exit 312D just before 312..and Daddy being kiasi of missing the exit, took the 312D and lost our way for a good 20mins before getting back on track in the opposite direction..
This time round, we saw the LegoLand sign on the exact Exit 312 and reached our Destination at 1030am..the carpark infront of Mall Medini is still available and we dont need to park too far away..stepping out of the car and we can immediately feel the immense heat..we guess its due to the fact that the whole area is under development and all the trees are cut down..leaving the wide acres of land barren..somehow it feels HOTTER than Singapore..the feeling is like standing in the middle of a football field under the afternoon sun..
Heat aside, we decided on the Annual pass at RM240 per adult and RM210 per kid above 3YO seeing how easy it is to get to the place from Singapore..we think we will be back for more..so long as we come back more than twice and its worth the annual pass $$
The cost of drinks is on average RM5-8..its a small price to pay to enjoy ice cold drink under the hot sun..food wise, its better and cheaper and tastier to settle it at Mall Medini since its just outside the Legoland..the queues and seating can get crowded inside those cafes in the park..
As its a weekday, there is less crowd and we only queued on average 10-15mins for each ride..some rides got no queue like the Twister (teacup) and driving which Raphael enjoys.
Roller Coasters have longer queues of 30mins..
It rained around 4pm and when the it stops, the crowd also lessens and we only queued 5mins for the roller coaster..Daddy usually will avoid the rollers...even in Genting, he will at most take the Viking haha..but this time, Raphael drags daddy to take the roller..Raphael surprisingly meets the height limit of min 110cm..Daddy keeps asking Raphael if he is ready to take the ride as we are afraid he dunno what he is taking on..he keeps assuring Daddy he is ok..after the ride, he still wanted to take a second to Daddy's amazement..this is one brave boy..Daddy is still trembling from the ride haha..
The park is more "comfortable" after 4pm when the weather cools and we are able to walk and relax while taking in the lego displays in the Miniland..we only managed to cover 1/2 the rides in the park as we took our own sweet time when we leave at 5.30pm (the park closes at 6pm on weekdays)
We will definitely be back soon to complete the other 1/2 of the rides in the park..
Our journey back to singapore is also smooth, apart from a 10mins delay at Tuas Checkpoint, we are back home by 8.00pm..its a tiring but fun day for the boys..Raphael is already planning the next visit..telling us he dont have school on Saturday (hint)

Halloween Party 2012
Date : 21st Oct 2012
We are having a halloween party in our house this weekend..Rapahel is very excited and soo looking forward to having his friends visiting..just yesterday while out shopping, he made a request to go home early to rest so that he will have "energy" to play the next day
On the morning of the party, we wanted to go get some stuffs and also to have breakfast..but Raphael didnt want to travel far..saying his friends are coming soon..he tells us to just go neighbourhood econ to buy things..not to go to bigger malls haha..
Party begins at 2pm as his friends started arriving in their fantastic costumes..Raphael is under dressed as usual haha..mummy "boh xim" leh...the kids and mummies all had a great time..the kids are no longer babies unlike 2-3 years back..now they are able to play on their own..so the mummies and daddies are also able to rest and relax with food and drink and girls talk..
Raphael..my boy...we overheard someone asking him whats going to happen later as his room is soo messy..guess what he replied.."nevermind, my daddy will clean up the room later"..
This boy really knows Daddy well..Daddy cant tolerate untidyness..so he volunteered Daddy for the cleaning task...well done my Boy..
Party ended with traditional trick and treats giving of sweets and the kids settled themselves infront of the telly watching Madagascar before reluctantly leaving for the day..

Visit to Army Museum
Date : 13th Oct 2012
Ran out of places to go for weekends..so we headed West this week to find some interesting place for the kids..decided on a visit to the Army Museum and maybe SAFTI MI..
Reached the place at 11am and as expected its quiet :) not crowded at all..this place is not a popular weekend haunt for most singaporeans..Daddy also only came here 2-3 times and all during "official" trips with the Army..
Too bad on this visit, the guided bus tour of SAFTI MI is not available due to a commissioning parade in the evening..hope to be able to bring the boys to tour MI next time..its a nice place and Raphael will be excited to see all the army boys and trucks in the camp..
As a NSman, the whole family is entitled free entry to the army museum which is a plus..we watched the presentation of a Day's life in the army followed by a 4D show on some military "war" scene..
Raphael also tried his hand on the M16 and SAR21 at the range simulation..we ended the tour walking through the many displays which is interesting to modern Singaporeans..

You are dead meat!
When you have a hokkien mother..naturally you will speak hokkien..Raphael has always been quick to pick up words and phrases...and knows how to apply it correctly..this new hokkien phrase which he used to great effect is soo funny..especially hearing it from a 4 YO..
What happened was this day where he and Gabriel was eating biscuit in the room..Gabriel accidentally drops some on the bed and Raphael on seeing it exclaims "Ji Bai Si Liao!!" ..in English, we can say Sucks!, OMG!, Oh no!
But hearing Ji Bai Si Liao from this 4YO, its just soooo funny haha..

Chilli Padi Gabriel

Gabriel is like a chilli padi..he is
small, quick and fiery haha..
Compared to Raphael at the same age
who is significantly milder in his temper..
This Thursday evening, we were at
Red hill Market for dinner and when we don't allow Gabriel to have ice cream..
guess what he did.
He got down from mummy’s lap and
started kicking daddy’s leg repeatedly.. initially Daddy didn't notice it.
But when mummy highlighted, we
actually realized he is doing it not out of fun but anger..
He is not always so hot tempered
though..most of the times he is actually an adorable, cute, handsome boy..Daddy
never gets tired of seeing him smile..esepcially those sparkling eyes of his..
this video is soo funny...Gabriel pretend to be zombie and chase after people..see his expression..soooo cutee
he gives us a funny face when he eats the bread..

Little Bully - Gabriel
Little Gabriel has been a bully of sorts lately..he will grab and pull Raphael's hair and even attempt to bite when provoked for whatever small issue..like when Raphael tries to snuggle up to mummy when Gabriel is already sleeping on her lap..
It seems he is easily jealous and will use brutal force to protect his "territory"..poor Raphael..had to bear with the torture as he knows that being a "victim" is better then retaliating..
Gabriel's protectionism behaviour could be brought about partially if not totally by Raphael as he constantly snatches toys from Gabriel..
We can see below the pictures of Gabriel eating ice cream secretly in the room..Raphael is outside playing and we observed Gabriel "hiding" his ice cream while eating it..felt "korlian" that he seems to feel so scared of lettting Raphael know..we need to keep assuring him that its ok..no one will snatch it from him..
