Runabout@Marina Barrage
25th Nov 2012
Had 2-3 hours to spare with the kids as mummy is attending old classmate's wedding lunch..so decided to bring them to Marina Barrage to see kites flying and the great view..
the place is relatively empty compared to when we last visited..think the crowds have all gone to neighbour Gardens By the Bay..the kids enjoyed themselves throughly as there are acres of grass for them, esp Gabriel to run to his hearts content..
They also like to go onto the observation bridge to see the sea under them..keep asking Daddy "where is the crab? where is the fish? "
This is a good place to bring the kids, next time we will bring our kites!

2nd Visit to Legoland
We are back at Legoland again..our 2nd visit in 1 month..the annual pass seems worth the value now..the 3rd visit and we will be gaining value haha..as the cost of the annual pass is double the single day pass..We only decided on Fri morning and we are there by 2pm..really glad we made the 1st leap to venture into Malaysia for more leisure activities..Singapore is really getting boring..
The weather is cool as the storm clouds gather when we reach..but we still managed to take a few rides before and after the downpour which cools the whole place down..the crowd is small and each ride has only 5-10mins of queue..mummy muster her courage to take the roller coaster with Raphael and see the picture below of their expression..its priceless..esp Raphael haha..
at the end of the day around 6pm, we decided to leave the place as we are tired from walking non-stop since 2pm..although the place only close at 8pm on Friday compared to 6pm on other weekday.
We planned to go Jusco at Bukit Indah for shopping and dinner..but Daddy lost his way and we ended up at Johor Premium Outlet instead..next Legoland visit daddy sure will find his way to Jusco

Gabriel's 2nd Photoshoot

We are having Gabriel's 2nd photoshoot today..his last photoshoot was on the 27th July and we see he has grown alot since then..all the shirts we brought are rejected by the photographer and we ended up with this top which is from Raphael..see raphael wearing the same top here..

Raphael Year End Performance
We attended Raphael's last day of Nursery on 16th Nov Friday where all the class will perform for the parents..seeing how these little kids can listen to instruction and perform coordinated moves really makes us proud as parents..
whats strange about Raphael is that we never observe him practicing or rehearsing the song or movements at home..but when its time to perform, he actually knows the lyrics and movement by heart..
Thats why even up to the day of the performance, we are still kept in the dark on his performance theme..we still thought its going to be Gangnam Style haha

Baking Craze
Maybe its a girl thing..or things a girl will do when one becomes a mummy..Baking!!
Mummy has been following a baking group on facebook and after seeing so many yummy looking creations online, she decided to start her own baking adventure on weekends with the kids..of course being a amatuer baker, its safer to start using those ready mixed off the shelf rather than from scratch..
Betty Crockers recipe are almost a sure success..and easy to make which we can involve the kids..see how much the kids enjoys being involved and enjoying the fruit of their labour..
From Betty Crockers, mummy advanced to some DIY recipes like the melty butter cookies below..the cookies is really delicious and the kids just cant stop popping one after one..its very nice..but also very fattening lor..the kids, Esp Raphael need to watch their diet..
Luckily for mummy, we have a daddy who is more accomplished in baking and always around to rescue and advise mummy..

Band Of Brothers
Raphael loves dressing up as a soldier and it rubs off Gabriel too..we are hooked on an old Taiwan army serial called 新兵日记 which is hilarious..Raphael also likes one of the army officer character and it only makes him more interested in dressing up in camouflage..
Soon we will go beach road market to get him more accessories like maybe a army water bottle and a belt :)

Xmas Season again
Its the Xmas season again..and Xmas starts real early in our family...1st week of Nov and our Xmas Tree is up..this year, Daddy had 2 helper..Raphael to hand the decorations on the middle and Gabriel bottom while Daddy takes care of the top haha..
We gave Raphael a piece of paper to write his Xmas wish list and put it under mummy's pillow so that Santa Claus will receive it..and below is what he wrote..can you make out the word?

Raphael singing Chinese Pop
Daddy likes to play his favourite songs on repeat when driving..and raphael will always be busy playing his iphone during the trip..so this day when he suddenly sings along to the song 感动天感动地, both daddy and mummy are surprised! that he actually pays attention to the song and even knows how to sing word for word..
In the video below, he can only memorise and sing part of the chorus..we find it soo cute..as always..parents will find anything the child does Cute.. :)
He also likes to listen to the TV serial "Game Plan" songs and can sing 2 lines of the Hebe's 魔鬼中的天使

Checking our New Restaurtant - TCS
Been wanting to check out this place as its seems interesting from those media recommendation..the location is also interesting..not excatly sure where it is..some idea near old changi hospital, near commando jetty etc..Click Here to find out the actual location
Changi village area is one of those rustic, charming place left in Singapore..i cant think of any place quite like it left..
Using GPS, we find the place without effort, as Changi end area is really not that big..the place really lives up to its billing as a retro, rustic and artistically done up place..
Arriving on at 4pm on a drizzling Saturday afternoon, we find the place fully booked from 6pm..they brought us to a seat, telling us that we need to give it up by 6pm..no problem since we are not intending to have our dinner there..
The menu is extensive and Expen$$ive..as we are there for desserts, we just ordered the Grandmother's brownie and a kids meal for the boys..
the Brownie is very nice..it has a distinct taste of something familiar..i think its black glutinous rice..its definitely one of the better brownie daddy tried before..
the Kids meal is nothing extraordinary except for the price haha..overall the price is about double what you will pay for in other cafes..but the ambience and maybe quality of the food justifies the price..
Price aside, its definitely a place we will revisit in the near future..
there are alot of displays that will interest the kids like vintage cars, vespa bikes, retro 70s furniture..

The grandmothers brownie..nice fragrance, taste abit like black glutinous rice..very tasty.
