Home Decor - Moving outside of our house!
Home Decoration
After doing up the Balcony, daddy again target another dull area..this time is our Main door haha..
not sure if its against the law or considered "vandalism" as its outside our house..
Anyway it definitely better than all the plants, bicycle and shoe racks along the corridors that makes walking home like negotiating an obstacle course

Daddy and Mummy @USS
Date : Monday 3rd June
Venue : Universal Studio Singapore
Cost : Free Tickets
Theme : Act Cute
Mummy have 2 free tickets expiring 5th June and so after so many delays, we are finally here on the 3rd June..just too bad we cant make it earlier and today is also the start of the "dreaded" June school holidays..we think 30% of the crowd are the result of the holidays..
Entering the park is a breeze with a 5mins queue at the entrance (heng dont need to Q for tickets as they are long)
Noticed we are without kids today? its one of the rare occassion where we make a decision to exclude them as we wanted to "maximise" the one day outing..we need each other's support to take the famously scary Battlestar Galatica..the Cyclops (underslung sitting) is really not for humans, its definitely the most scary ride we ever took..the Human version is also fun but not as intense as the Cyclops..
We took these 2 rides and the rest like the mummy and Transformers are chicken feet.
Most of the rides have an average Q time of 5-10mins except those kiddy rides which are normal to Q 30mins..we wanted to start with Transformers as our 1st ride but gave up after seeing 60mins Q time..
we then proceeded with other rides before going back after lunch where the Q is a manageable 30mins.
Lunch is a simple affair at Louis Pizza where a single slice (huge) cost $9 and a whole pizza (gigantic, almost like a 45cm diameter) cost $45. We had our meal in the park to complete the experience although a meal just outside the park at Aston's is half the cost and twice the flavour haha..
The weather is hot as usual in Singapore but the park is surprisingly cool as there are many fans and shelters to provide a respite from the heat..most of the ride's waiting\briefing area are also air-conditioned which is a welcome relief as well.
We brought our never used before tripod and managed to take some nice couple shots instead of having single shots or having to trouble passerbys (not garantee good photos also).
overall we had a great time and felt like we are back to dating days..guess married couple with kids tends to to neglect couple time which is important..
will we be back? yes..in 3 years time with the kids who by then will be tall and brave enough to enjoy all the rides..
at the entrance before we cheong all the rides
Posing at the transformer ride
this is taken after we completed the ride..its incredibly SCARY!!
Pic from other source - this is the Cyclops ride which goes 360 turns and near zero gravity drops
this is the "Human" ride which is the sister of the Cyclops..also scary, but at least your feets touches the ground
at Far Far Away land
at Madagascar
Act cute pose which is our theme for today..background is the BattleStar Galatica
Lunch of salad, soup and pizza..
At the Transformer 4D Ride
Daddy almost bought the Transformer Cushion..at $29.90, cant bear to buy..

Singapore Riverside Adventure
Date : 26th May - Vesak Day Loong weekend
We love loong weekends..its a time where we can do exciting things without the stress of waking up tired the next day for work..Saturday is usually a 1/2 working day for Daddy and Sunday will be too short after deducting visiting Grandparents for special outing..
Our special event today is to take the newly revamped (read cheaper rides) $3 one way river taxi service from marina bay (bayfront) to Robertson Quay..
We get to see the Singapore River and Marina Basin differently..in the taxi, we are able to get close to see the Merlion front facing unlike the bridge where we can only see the side profile..
maybe the river taxi is not well known or popular yet, we almost had the whole boat to ourselves on the to and fro journey..
We disembarked at Robertson Quay and took a leisure walk along the river, exploring the area with the many cafes and restaurant before having a quick bite at McDonald's at LiangCourt before we take the return trip taxi to Marina Sands.
its a leisure 2-3 hours event which is cheap for the adults and fun for the kids..
Planning to bring our parents along next time to take in the night view
Exciting to be at the Bayfront promenade
Gabriel posing with the Olympic Circle
Gabriel can hear mummy speak meh?
Raphael demo how to blend into the sculpture
Imitating to be ducks in the water
Gabriel needs some love at times..
Getting ready to board the boat
a small step but a huge leap for Gabriel
We had almost the whole boat to ourselves
Marina Bay Financial Centre and The Sail Condo
Fullerton Hotel and Cavenagh Bridge
Casino Sands
Alighting at Robertson Quay
The kids dancing along to the rap music played by the cafes by the river
Relaxing and taking in the view
They are Brothers..not Friends

Date : 24th May Friday, Legoland Day
Its a looong weekend Friday and we just decided at the last minute to bring the kids to Legoland again (our 4th or 5th Visit) since we have annual pass..this time round, its a relaxing outing as we have no "rush" to cheong all the rides etc..
we have completed all of the rides and the purpose this time is to let the kids play whatever catches their attention..they spend alot of time in the numerous playgrounds and also the lego building room.
We noticed that they erected alot of shelters around the park which is a good thing..i guess that makes our visit today more enjoyable compared to previous visit where we are really left to the mercy of the scorching sun..
We ended the day with Japanese Dinner at Aeon Bukit Indah and some grocery shopping and pump full tank before home!
the "shipyard" playground
Gabriel insisted to play the hoops which he had absolutely no chance to win..but we still fork our RM$20 for 3 ball..
We tried out the drier..Daddy expected cold cool air but instead its blowing hot air!
Roaring Lion gabriel!
Last photo before we call it a day
