Home Improvement DIY - Balcony

Balcony makeover.
Daddy likes to give part of the house little makeover every now and then to keep the house "fresh" and interesting..the last project is the Cityscape view on the bomb shelter door..this time, the target is the dull balcony..
We tried to put little artificial pots of flowers and plants to give it an outdoor feel..but somehow it seems to be lacking a real outdoor feel..Daddy have enquired about those artificial grass and the quotes are usually in the range of $500-600..that puts Daddy off quite abit..
This project has always been at the back of his mind and during one of the shopping session at Vivo HomeFix, we saw those ready cut grass carpet of 2x1m at reasonable price ($65ea) and we also know Ikea has wooden deck at 9pcs of 30cm2 for $45..
Doing the math, our outdoor feel balcony can be had for $200 and during one of the weekend, Daddy got about putting the piece together and the end result is an "impressive" golf putting corner and mini soccer field haha..
