Outdoor at Changi Point beach
Date : 15th Oct Haji Holiday
Long awaited Mid week holidays on Hari Raya Haji..the family woke up late and we decided to go for brunch at Changi Village hawker centre..since we are so near the beach and nice weather, we proceeded on for a leisure 2 hours walk, look, see, explore along the park connector..the kids pick up leaves, blow dandelion, use branches as swords and just enjoy the nice scenery..
We will try cycling here on our next visit.

Trying Out our Inflatable Boat at Sentosa

What an active weekend..we went to LEGOLAND yesterday and today we are at sentosa again. We also got "annual" pass as in the Islander card which got us unlimited entry to sentosa (but need to pay parking of $1/hr). On a weekend before 5pm, it cost $7 per car and the annual pass is only like $20..so its worth it if u plan to visit more than 3-4 times in a year..the water here is cleaner and more inviting compared to other beaches like East Coast or Pasir Ris.
Weather is good today when we reach at around 4pm..no piercing sun rays while still reasonably warm to feel the sun on our skin to get some tan..We brought our inflatable boat here which the kids loves..too bad we didn't managed to get proper life jackets for the kids therefore we didn't venture too far out..next time with the life jackets, the kids can try their hands on using the oar to paddle the boat.

9th Visit to legoland in a year

This is our 9th Visit within 1 year to LEGOLAND..we are veterans..considering we paid about SGD$80 per pax for our annual pass, each visit works out to be $8.cheaper than watching a movie on a weekend in Singapore..and this place is getting worthier to visit as the initial excitement seems to have wear off and the crowd even on a Saturday is manageable..infact, most of the rides has no queue or a waiting time of less than 5mins.
We tried the thai Restaurant (Absolut Thai) for lunch this visit and the food is fantastic..definitely worth the price compared to other restaurants which we tried at the Medini Mall.
On this visit, it also coincide with the soft launch of the adjacent Water Park which explains why the carpark is full but LEGOLAND is empty..most of the crowds are in the water park haha..
Learning from our past 8 experience, we brought along 2 special "weapons"..1st is a cheap water spray for watering plant which can produce a fine mist..and when mixed with ice cold water, it really helps the boys keep cool in the notoriously hot weather in this part of the country.
Our 2nd "weapon is a 1.2l coleman easy drinking insulated bottle which we filled with ice..we simply pour our plain water into it and in seconds we got ice cold water which is colder than those sold at the kiosk in the park..
We renewed our annual pass and new expiry date is end of Dec 2014..which means we may hot 20th visit :)
Gabriel simply loves this place..and its good outdoor fun for these 2 boys who stays at home most of the days of the week in Singapore

Phays Visiting our Ancestor Home
Date : 29 Sept - 1st Oct
Brandon brought the elders (Mum, Dad, Uncle Jeffery and Auntie Irene) back to our ancestors home in Swatow (China) for a visit.
I also wish to visit someday..and hope to take some more meaningful pictures..
Why take picture here? did Great Grand Father Phay depart from this point to Singapore?

Raphael's losing his 1st baby tooth
Date : 13th October 2013
We noticed Raphael has a new tooth growing behind his bottom front teeth about 2 months back..when we consulted the Dentist, he says that his front tooth will drop soon and no worries..
True to his words, Raphael's tooth started getting shakier and shakier by the day..it feels to "disgusting" when we touch it and can feel it moving to and fro with ease..but he apparently felt no pain and still eat as normal although mummy kept reminding him not to bite too hard on his front.
This evening while brushing his teeth, mummy suddenly sees blood when he rinse his mouth and realised that his tooth drop off..Mummy was nervous on seeing blood but Raphael was like "huh...whats the big deal? no pain leh"
She immediately stop the water and search for the broken tooth in the basin before it goes down the drainage..luckily we found it and got to keep his 1st tooth as a souvenir..
His new tooth is slowing growing out to replace his dropped tooth and from far, we cant really see any difference..glad that he don't have a toothless grin.

Dad's official retirement
Date : 27th September 2013
Today is a special day and I took leave just to accompany my Dad on his last day at work. He will be retiring after 39 years in the same company "Amoy Canning". Actually this is a recent name change. We remember his "company" by another more well known name called "Green Spot" which is a popular orange flavoured drink which we loves when we are young.
The brand has since been sold to another company and Dad's focus has been canned food and other packet drinks called "Delite"
Throughout our teenage years when we are busy with our studies, army, relationship, career then family..we never really pay much attention to Dad's job..Sometimes like once or twice a year, I will take leave to accompany his on his daily work just to bond with him..Bennett did that too..someone didn't..and that's Brandon haha..
Recently we have been hearing from him being "disillusioned" with the job with new management, new colleagues etc..this is life, new generation will take over and ideas and working style definitely will clash with this old ginger..its good that he can finally let go of work and step into retirement.
See the old antique desk in the picture, heard that desk followed dad since he 1st joined the company till today. like to buy it from the company and put at home for dad to read papers haha
